- House cats who escape, will be feeling very anxious being out of their comfort zone which is indoors with people they trust: their owners. They also tend to hide close by. A door she has access to, open wide, and stand aside. (Don`t block her entrance, or she may see it as "Threat"). Put some tuna or chicken, in her dish, and place it about twice the width of the door. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too, because your the one she trusts. Wipe her scent on your garden fenced too: anything leading up to the garden. Check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars THOROUGHLY. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. She may be having a little adventure in someone`s garden.
