Me again. Just had a lovely text from her owner’s to say she is going to be coming home tomorrow. Would have been today but was too hot to travel. She will be chipped ASAP by her own vet. I am sure you will need to wait for SDK to update their page once confirmation is received. Xx

Sorry was not having a go at all. I was just hoping you could intervene and by pass their answer service, Sorry.

Battersea did try to help but we do have a contract with sdk so cannot arrange to have dog brought here for collection. All we can do is email sdk which is what the owner was doing!

Got to the bottom of one of the problems.

They, the owners, had missed the letter third letter N off their email so it was bouncing back.

So I have suggested owner asks her vet to call SDK and hopefully that will work BUT vet is closed for half day training. Last edited: 2018-08-02 14:52:54 by reggiemollieros

I have spoken to SDK. Their representative was not very happy with me as I had left loads of messages. But then I was not very happy either. It seems that the owners have fallen between the two stools of communication. They had the wrong email address which they had taken verbally over the phone. I didn’t even ask why if she was found 27/7 she was not added to their own website until 31/7.
Yes she should have been chipped however I do worry about the extra stress of the miscommunication. I am trying to be diplomatic. Last edited: 2018-08-02 14:49:25 by reggiemollieros

Battersea can not help. Have given her another number to try for SDK. Keep you posted x Last edited: 2018-08-02 12:31:48 by reggiemollieros

The owner of this dog has been ringing SDK all day and no one is getting back to her. I have suggested she call Battersea and ask them to intervene on her behalf.
DogLostreggiemollieros
I have phoned the number on link below and advised the poster if they have lost their Akita to look on here and to contact SDK services. One of the numbers was not working so I tried the second one. I hope that makes sense.

I think the owner of this dog has posted on another site and is confused about how to get her back. She says she is 11 and her name is Nikita https://www.nationalpetregister.org/fp/87955 I will try contact her via the site.
