Welcome home Gem and well done to all the family and volunteers! For anyone interested in her behaviour when lost, from where she was last seen we found a straight track to a well-hidden flattened sleeping spot and then lots of bimbly tracks all over the area but never more than about 300m from where she was last seen. There was also a track back up to the carpark with a number of flattened detours off it which was probably her avoiding dogs. This is another example where leaving familiar and comforting scent items out was crucial in keeping her close by while she recovered. Well done Gem for being sensible!

Bless gem. Found very close to her lost spot. A family with kids sighted her and owners were just across the grid and came over to call her in. Had the pleasure of meeting the sweetie before she was whisked off Home for a bit of tea.

Thank you. We had brilliant help from a local tracking dog that gave us insight of possible areas of interest. A good amount of volunteer foot searchers spent the morning trapsing the vast plantation grids. Sadly nothing. A camera will go up tonight and a drone is meeting owners and Will do a scan over the open fields to the north. The water on marked OS map springs is mostly still flowing so water source Close is available.
Posters are up in the immediate area but all village hubs will need some if she remains unfound. Last edited: 2018-07-26 10:28:40 by KatieF - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset

Will be on foot st dawn and try get owner to retrace walk with me when they are available. It was very hot 11.30 at lost time yesterday. It is a cool forest area and water on the estate is found at the lakesides. Just hoping she will find home as it’s not far at all.
