Thanks for that info. It is indeed a long way from where Jill went missing, and it may belong to Cefn farm. The first step would be to enquire at the farm if this dog is theirs or is known to them, if anyone can do that? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi this is going to be along shot i was on the Crychan forestry at llandovery on Saturday where we came across an unattended collie, it was mainly brown although i would describe it as tricolour it took off the moment it saw us and we did not see it again it looked thin but not under nourished, it was wearing what appear to be a leather collar, it was near the Cefn Farm entrance, there were no cars in the car park and no persons walking about there. I know it's a long way from where she went but thought i had to let you know. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner was concerned that perhaps jill had been killed in a rta, ive checked with Douglas's they take any road kill for ceredigion, they have checked the log, and no border collies have been taken there, spoken to the dog warden for the area he hasnt picked up any collies from that area, usually if collies are picked up by the dog wardens they contact me straight away because im also collie rescue, so i always know if one is picked up by the council. Ive also told the owner to visit Ty-agored in person, she had called them, but she should go there in person to double check.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to owner, Jill has actually been missing for 5 weeks, there isnt a photo available, but she is typically marked, the dogs were barking at 2.30 in the morning, the property has lights that are on a sensor, and the dogs live by the back bedroom, so the light would of shone in the bedroom if anyone had been on the yard, she wouldnt of gone and left the pups, and she would only go with someone she knew, so its all a bit of a mystery, they have checked local sanctuarys, dog wardens informed, police. There are no posters up about jill so if anyone is in that area perhaps we could get some up, thanks BCLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Black and White, 7 year old, Medium coated, had puppies 8 weeks ago so gill is on the thin side, very nervous would not go to strangers, the other farm dogs barked on saturday night and she has been missing ever since. There has been no sighting of her locally, she is known to the other farmers/neighbours in the area. Will try and get hold of owner tommorow for a photo, there was another dog stolen from this area a while back, and found not far from me, just wondering if there might be a connection.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
