Very small write up, about six line, on Maddie in Liverpool Echo, no picture. Thought they would have printed the same coverage that was in the Star, which had a good picture and write up. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Charris came to Liverpool today. The Police followed up an address on Walton Hall Ave, unfortunately it was not Maddie but a similar puppy. Thanks to the Police for taking action and to the owners of the puppy for being co-operative. There are a couple of other sightings that are being looked into. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Visited the Walton area tonight (not long got home) and passed approx 200 posters, mixture of A4 and smaller posters to the family who originally found Maddie and passed her into the shop. They said they would distribute posters in the area around the shop, deliver to houses and hand some out. Still nothing in the Liverpool Echo tonight. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

charris, had a phonecall tonight about 10.30 p.m. the caller said she has seen media coverage (no picture) in the Star, which is a free local paper. I've rung the lady back. She said she seen a young man with a puppy fitting Maddie's description on Thur 13th March on Rice Lane, Liverpool 9, which is the continuation of County Road, Walton. She does not have internet access but is willing to poster the area and look out for Maddie. Posters will be passed onto her. I've spoken to the shop owner again today and she has not heard from the Customer. Brilliant that something has gone into the local paper and just waiting on the Liverpool Echo. When I spoke to the shop keeper today she said she did not know the customer's address, but the customer has been back to see if anyone had come forward for Maddie. She said the person is looking after Maddie. I've explained to her that Maddie should have been reported to the Police or DW, which it appears has not been done, they cannot just keep her. Shop keeper gave me the email address of the shop to send posters and said they would be displayed also in their other two shops. Keelah has done media coverage for the Liverpool Echo, which if they cover will be brilliant to get the word out to more people in the Liverpool area. It is a waiting game to see if the customer comes forward. Myself or the family who have been helping are able to collect Maddie from them and look after her until Charris is able to meet up and be reunited with her. I've spoken to Charris a few times today and tonight. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm a bit confused here, she WON'T disclose a name or address? or she CAN'T because she doesn't know? if its the former then the least she could do is get in touch with the people who have Maddie herself and let them know you want her back, if its the latter then its postering and the waiting game.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have made a few phone calls and located the shop on County Road who took Maddie in, a customer now has Maddie, they do not know where they live, but they have called into see if an owner has come forward. I?ve checked with authorities and Halewood RSPCA, Maddie has not been reported as being found (shop keeper did not realise that this should have been done). Poster emailed to them and they will display in the shop window. I?ve left my contact details. With the posters already up in the area and the shop displaying them (also in their others shops) it is a waiting game for the customer to now get in contact with us. The shop keeper has been very co-operative. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

charris, thanks for the phonecall and updating Maddie's page. If the Liverpool Echo run a story that would be a great way to get the word out about Maddie, dogs have been reunited in the past through being in the Echo. Also try The Ormskirk Advertiser 01695 572501, icnetwork.co.uk and the St Helens Star 01744 751441, news@sthelensstar.co.uk both these papers have been very good at helping to reunite missing dogs. Owner does not know anyone in Liverpool and was only visiting with partner for the day on business. I've received a mobile phone picture but it was taken when Maddie was only about two weeks old (will email to admin), owner is going to try and find another picture or similar one of what Maddie looks like now. Picture should be emailed to admin@doglost.co.uk The Liverpool Echo is the local paper that would be the best one to try and get to run a story. Owner said she will also register and leave an update.
