Welcome home handsome Flash.x Thankfully the family that bought him kept him safe. Quite surprised they didn't get Flash checked for a chip after buying him this way. Still they did the right thing so that's all that matters. The builders should stick to building and not selling dogs that aren't theirs! So pleased this little elderly gent is safe and at his true home. Stay safe Flash.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

All praise to the family who looked after him for 10 days and for doing the RIGHT THING even when it must have left them out of pocket.Welcome home Flash, stay safe xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Welcome home Flash, The sad part of this is the son was more then like told a very sad story by these builders and believed them. And he through he was ding the right thing May be it was just has well he did buy Flash otherwise who knows what would have happened to him, Well done the mother for doing the right thing. Poster power again. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Flash was still wearing his collar (so the first sighting was not of him), but no tag (he has now). I suppose as the son had bought him, the family didn't think he was a missing dog until the mother saw the poster. Shame she hadn't seen it earlier (as we had littered the whole area with them). We will be in touch with the family again, so will suggest a rescue dog also suggest they find the builders and get their money back - though that could be more difficult... Thank you again for all your positive vibes and good wishes. We certainly had a GOOD FRIDAY - and wish you a very Happy Easter, from us and Flash! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so pleased you have your boy home safe and sound. BUT - why oh why wasn't he taken to a vet or anyone to be checked for identity? He could have been home with you 10 days ago. I still cannot comprehend why people buy dogs in this way. At least the lady had the decency to contact you once she saw the posters. Anyway, welcome home Flash and stay safe from now on.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Excellent news - we've got our Flash back! We received a call from a lady who saw one of our posters this afternoon. She realised that it was the dog her son bought from some builders about ten days ago. The family have looked after him - and loved him - ever since. They live only five minutes away and were heartbroken to have to part with him, but once she'd seen the poster, the lady decided she had to do the right thing and return him to us. Thank you for all your good advice and encouragement, it has really helped. Needless to say, we are all - including Flash - over the moon to be reunited!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks! We are constantly leafletting and postering. Good weekend for it too with fun fairs etc. We've also put an ad in the local paper and are spreading the word far and wide. All our friends love him and want him back as much as we do. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another sighting - we had a call from someone this morning, who spotted our JRT in East Finchley High Street - but again about a week ago. He responded to one of the many posters we've been putting up. Will be doing more posting and leafletting today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks, Yasa. Spent the day posting and leafleting all over Muswell Hill, Hornsey, Tottenham, Edmonton etc. Most people very sympathetic and receptive. Have also registered him on Gumtree and Alfie's Lost Terriers. Gutted not to have had him back yet and no more sightings to go on. Police have been very unhelpful and refused to give a crime ref no - which someone recommended we get, as it is obvious he has been stolen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good work then Mollyben. keep it up and you will be rewarded. Weekend coming up - hundreds more posters - Pubs, restaurants, takeaways, supermarkets, boot sales, markets, football training meetings, churches, any events what so ever. Also, poster near to any travelers sites that may be in the area. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for your good advice. We have been putting up posters all over our area and surrounding areas, giving leaflets out to dog walkers and others and have registered him with RSPCA, PDSA etc, other websites, various police stations, etc and went to Battersea Dogs Home today. We've had a few false alarms as another Jack Russell was found last Friday 7th, and handed in to a vet, and people keep thinking he is ours! Unfortunately no more sightings of ours since the first one on Friday - if it was him. We are desperate to have him back and need all the help we can get.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, please dont rely on the authorities picking your boy up and scanning him. You need to poster like mad. You may need hundreds of posters to be placed before your sightings will come in. Please update us regularly on any news or sightings what so ever. we will do all we can to help you get this boy home. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
