At owner's request I have sent out 17 personal letters to Rescues (phew) with Poppy's new poster, although they should have it already. We are thinking she may have had pups now and will be out on the streets in a few weeks, as she was in season when she went missing. Will all helpers please look out for any pups which may be Poppy's appearing in the area? Owner is not well, does not keep good health, and needs assistance.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner of Poppy as I do regularly & we are keeping going with the posters and rescue contact. Have also put owner in touch with another lost dog owner in the area so they may help each other.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have asked for Poppys details & picture to be changed to give a better view of what she really looks like. She is actually a small dog, with a white bit under her chin. Please look out for Poppy and if anyone can help this owner, please give him a ring as he is not too well and requires someone to help him with this. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you put a poster up at Asda in Blantyre & Hamilton, or at the train stations? Asda don't have space inside for posters, but normally they are ok with you putting up a poster at the trolley collection area (people can see it clearly here too). Last time I asked them it was ok, I just had to agree to come back and remove the poster once the owner had been found. I live in Carluke, so a bit further away but have fowarded the poster to friends in that area. best of luck, keep us updated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Archie and Poppy's owners - Please personally check the Stray kennels on a daily basis at Bothwell Bridge (even Cardonald at a push - certain parts of the boundaries in Lanarkshire are blurry), phone Dog Wardens for Nth and Sth Lanarks and visit all poss police stns personally and try vets. As someone else has said - phoning isn't enough the onus is on the owner to visit. Will Hamilton Advertiser/Wishaw Press Maybe do an article? If the dogs haven't appeared in the kennels chances are someone has them and that would maybe be the jolt they or their neighbours need to act. Best of Luck. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sad to hear Poppy not back yet. I am from Wishaw and lost my dog Archie on 20th February. he just seems to have vanished and noone has seen him. It's heartbreaking.I will defo look out for Poppy I have family in Motherwell and often in Hamilton and Larkhall. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know. Thanks pethunters- you cannot beat local knowledge-maybe best to ring owner direct and put him in touch with Archies owner as I believe he did struggle a bit to get the photo to us and may not pick up on messages-thanks!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Perhaps Poppy's owner should hook up with Archie's owner and try to combine forces as they are both so close in proximity to each other. We will give Poppy's details out to our Wishaw Taxi driver to distribute out tonight. Has owner visted Bothwell Bridge yet?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a beautiful dog. I hope she is home real soon, with the help of Doglost. Owner, please visit the kennels where strays are taken, yourself, and take a poster, instead of contact by phone, because if they think she is a collie cross, they could have passed her, as she is more like a dobie cross, by her colouring.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Depending on the operating system on the PC - But this should work 1 - If the owner can find the picture on his PC 2 - With the mouse pointer directly over the picture that he or she requires to send , RIGHT Click with the mouse this should bring up a command to SEND TO , hightlight this and should then open another box that says MAIL RECIPIENT, Press this and add the email address admin@doglost.co.uk and Poppys name and Postcode and send.
Good LuckLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
