So pleased this lovely girl has been found. There’s always an added worry when they’re elderly with health problems. Stay close Molly and just chill out in the garden from now on! X

Great news. Stay close now Molly:-)xxx She may have felt a little off colour due to her meds/thyroid problems, so wanted more cuddles. Thyroid is treatable as you know, thankfully. Last edited: 2018-04-07 11:43:00

Great news this morning. Molly has been found safe and well. She has eaten and is currently sleeping off her ordeal before heading to the vet for a thorough check up. Thank you to everyone who shared.

There are a few cats, but Molly has been around for quite some time and there hasn't been any problems to date. Speaking to her owner, who s a friend and who I am providing help for, it seems that Molly became rather more "clingy" on Tuesday evening, very much like a young child who isn't feeling well. She seemed to want more fusses than usual. Only now since she disappeared, has this extra attention become more of a worrying factor. The search is continuing constantly, but still no sign. Very upsetting for all.

As it is out of character for Molly to go missing, is there a dominant cat in the area? Because sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory, although they usually return after a few days, if they think it is "Safe" for them to do so.

Check all outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars in case shut in. ALWAYS take a SECOND LOOK as some cats will hide in, or behind an object within, especially if timid, event though their owners may be present. Check behind hedges/bushes too, in case she is feeling unwell. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as her scent will be there. Put some tuna or warm chicken in her dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing lien if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Walk around the area, holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding her (Common problem) When it is nightfall, and you are searching use as strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Also take with you an air freshener which you use regularly as it should remind Molly of her home comforts. Poster around the area, and also post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children as they can be very observant. In Molly`s case too, I would knock on a few doors too. Hope Molly is home very soon. Paws, and fingers xd.
