So sorry to hear about Sadie, but as you said, at least you have closure and know where she is. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. God bless a few little words that may help just a little. I stood by your bed last night I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, and I?m here. I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, you were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me. I was with you at the shops today your arms were getting sore I longed to take your parcels I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today you tend it with such care. I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there. I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you I smiled and said, "It?s me." You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there. It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday. To say to you with certainty, "I never went away." You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you. The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say "good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I?ll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side. I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me.-Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have a secret, you and I that no one else shall know, for who but I can see you lie each night in fire glow? And who but I can reach my hand before we go to bed and feel the living warmth of you and touch your silken head? And only I walk woodland paths and see ahead of me, your small form racing with the wind so young again, and free. And only I can see you swim in every brook I pass and when I call, no one but I can see the bending grass xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

By the edge of a wood at the foot of the hill, Is a lush green meadow where time stands still, Where friends of a man and woman do run, when their time on earth is over and done, For here between this world and the next , Is a place where each beloved creature find's rest ! On this golden land they wait and play till Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day. No more do they suffer in pain or sadness for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness!!!! Their limbs are restored their health renewed their bodies have healed strength imbuled !!!! They run through the grass without even a care, untill one day they Stop and sniff the air !!! All ears pricked forward, eyes dart side to side, Then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack ! For just that instant their eyes have met Together again person and pet, So they run to each other these friends from long past, The time of their parting is over at last !! The sadness they felt whilie they were apart has turned into Joy once more in each heart, They embrace with a love that will last forever and side by side they cross over together !! Run wild and free SADIE with the warmth of the sun on your back forever x x What a beautiful girl x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so sorry to read of your bad news, very, very sad but at least you can move on and put Sadie to rest, lots of people never know what happens to their dogs and keep looking for them for months and months. Take care, I'm glad that you had an ending, as sad as it was.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately we received bad news on monday about Sadie. A lady had found Sadie's body in her garden, she had been away on holiday. This is the worst news we wanted to hear, but at least we know where is she now. Thank you for all your help. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi this dog is very similar to yours, she is wit boxerdogs north but in the write up it says she is in south wales. Link is http://www.boxerdogrescue.co.uk/boxersneedinghomes.htm Daisy May is a brindle bitch who is approximately 3 years old. She came to BDRNE as her owners were evicted and they could not take Daisy May with them. She has a very loving nature and only wants to please, she loves to get in bed and have a snuggle, the closer the better. She loves attention and has a real happy and playful manner. Daisy May cannot be homed with any other dogs or cats as she can be a little unpredictable when she gets excited, this is due to lack of socialisation and we are working on this daily. Daisy May is very well behaved and will sit and give paw and will lie down when asked. She needs a little more work on her lead walking and recall, but she is very eager to learn and has shown brilliant prgress since coming into rescue. Daisy May deserves a home where someone will give her the love and attention that she needs, she would like nothing more than to snuggle her new mum or dad all day. Daisy May has a lovely long tail. Daisy May is in South Wales Anyone interested in rehoming her must travel to meet her. Please read the rehoming policies before applying to adopt Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I tried the Dog Trust in Bridgend and Many Tears Animal Rescue but they've heard nothing. I've printed some posters out and I'm going to put a ad in the local paper. Hopefully we'l hear something soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You must ring further afield as she may have been picked up by someone in a passing car-have you put ad in local paper and a poster to the sorting depot?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I haven't tried Dogs Trust in Bridgend or Many Tears Animal Rescue in Crosshands so I'll give them a ring today, thanks for that. I just want to know where she is now, its horrible not Knowing anything. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has anyone contacted Boxer Welfare or Boxer Rescue do you know?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have been in touch with our friends who have Boxers & live in the Pwll area to keep an eye out for her and to ask around. Have you checked with Gelli Farm kennels & Greenfields where found dogs are sometimes taken. Also check with dogs trust in bridgend, some dogs that are taken there if they are not claimed. Also have you notified Many tears animal rescue which are in Crosshands. We are driving around the area quite a lot & are keeping an eye out for her. If we can be of any further help please don't hesitate to get in touch with us as we only live in Five roads. Here's hoping that she returns hme safe & well soon. Keep safe Sadie until you are found.
