Found on www.dogpages.org.uk : Young Springer Spaniel Bitch - Found yesterday afternoon at Gresley Rovers Football Club, Church Gresley running on pitch. No tag or chip. As I already have 5 dogs the local warden took it to Lakeside Kennels, Wcyhnor, Burton on Trent. - I realsie its a long shot but tags can be removed and sometimes chipped missed. Good luck x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It is Selby Game Fair at Carlton Towers this weekend - 21/22/23/24 March - very popular with lots of dog people from a wide area - it must be worth getting some posters there or a stand with all the missing dogs on or something. Doglost admin may be able to advise best approach. Got these contact details of a flyer through our door. It is a SGF Ltd Organised Event - Tel: 01205 871354 / Mobile 07970 489605. For Trader Booking please visit their website - www.selbygamefair.co.uk. Am absolutely snowed under at work this week and have printer probs but would be available Fri am (good Friday) if any help needed to hand out flyers/posters at the event. I have today taken a list of all the dogs missing in the Yorkshire area and emailed the list to YEP & YP, Calendar, Look North, Radio Leeds and the Paul O Grady Show (thank you to hopeithelps for this suggestion). 32 dogs missing since 1st Feb 2008!!!! I am hoping that by lisiting them all individually it will make them sit up and take notice. If we all do the same hopefully we can get someone to take notice!!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have emailed Calendar also - god I hope they agree to help us, we could really do with the publicity right now. Does DL have any clout with the Gypsy Liaison Officers - would this be a good place to start in building up a relationship with the travelling community - I am really struggling to get the GLO's to sit up and take notice (only Selby GLO has been supportive!) I just feel this might be a safer and more productive means of building the relationship.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I saw some dodgy blokes in a car yesterday, and it made me feel ill to think that someone like that could of taken my baby, and what they could have done. thanks for everyones support. these past few weeks have been dreadful and heartbreaking... molly was my baby and she followed me every where. the kids keep asking if she is coming home and i dont know what to say. i dont have any answers and i wish i did. someone some where must know something. even if someone has ran her over, if they reported it at least i would know. i cant stand not knowing if she is being treated badly or suffering in some way. I just hope and im keeping my fingers crossed that someone knows where all our babies are, and has the decency to bring them back to us. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Walked from Cawood to Wistow this pm along by the river and back through the marshes - didnt spot her unfortunately but there was lots of cover for her by the river, presume it's similar to the ings near her home. Will try and do the Wistow to Selby stretch through the lordship over the weekend. Did spot some men behaving rather suspiciously - there was about 5 of them with sticks in a copse near where the river meets Marsh Lane near Wistow at some ponds. They had a small brown staffy dog who they seemed to be pushing away from whatever they were doing - did stop to watch for a while looking at my map but decided to move on as there was 5 of them and one started to head my way n only 1 of me and one small dog but will definately go back and poster there - it looked as if people fished there. Have printed off posters but have no plastic pockets at the moment.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

In the Selby Times this week there was a couple of lines saying that 9 puppies were stolen from West Haddlesey ? said they were worth ?2750 and included 2 Jack Russell breeds (?not sure what they mean by that). West Haddlesey is just off the A19 only a few miles south of J34(I think) of M62. Yet more pups going missing in this area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A sighting is fantastic news!! It means that people are still aware that she is missing and looking for her. You should plaster this place with posters and even think about doing miniture posters so that you can post them in nearby houses (I think that jayne or one of the others can help you with this). If you do get anymore sightings in this area then it will be time to start looking into scenting the area. REally hoping you get some good news soon. So sorry you still have no news of Molly. Could you approach your local newspaper or the YEP to print an appeal with a photo about her? Two dogs recently went missing from Leeds area, the YEP printed an appeal for them resulting in them both being found. They had been stolen and sold on, but someone recognised them from the article, and their now back home with their owners! It's worth a try!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't know which council would provide the Dog Warden service in Tadcaster - I think it would be Leeds still based upon the postcode but the internet says Selby. Leeds Dog Warden telephone number is 0845 1240113 and they use 2 kennels that you can ring directly - Springfield 01924 271028 and Marina 0148 4426407. Alternatively the Selby Dog Warden has contact telephone numbers of 01757 292123 or 07970 595199. All of the above people will advise if there's anyother kennels/Dog Warden Service in Tadcaster (or further North by the sound os Molly's wandering). Another remote possbility is Bradford Dog Wardens who use Fleet Lane 01274 880408, just in case someone from Bradford picked them up and took them home before reporting.
