Hi, I know it is a long time since Louie went missing but yesterday when I was running in Ambleside Road, Lightwater I found a very thin, beautiful Benagl who looked very unkempt.
I run in that area all the time and am pretty friendly with all the cats..it was only 7am in the morning and this cat seemed distressed. I tried to get it to follow me ( I used to have a Bengal and they are very intelligent) but it went running off towards Guildford Road. I have informed Lightwater vets of the sighting.

Hi, yes, many cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around that day? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where the vehicle went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. Really hope your cat comes home soon, thinking of you

Presume neutered? check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars in case shut in. ALWAYS take a SECOND look as some cats will hide in, or behind objects within. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as his scent will be there. Put his unwashed blanket into clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on all your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Walk around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding him, ( Common problem) When it is nightfall, and you are searching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cat`s eyes. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed iinto a vehicle. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Paws xd.
