Owner does not think this dog is Bornish. She has a short docked tail, no white on her, and a woolly Bedlington type brown coat. Please keep checking sites for her. thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has anyone had a look at 17206 similar dog found in Barnsley. I know its a long way off but the similarity is remarkable.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pretty little Bornish is still missing, and it is over one year now. Have bumped her profile to the top of the lost dogs as it past the anniversary of when she went missing. Please check out all Patterdales and look for Bornish.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

None of the Patterdales or crosses on the found pages are Bornish, according to the owner. Hope Bornish is sighted again soon and home where she belongs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dom, these sightings are brilliant. Ideally you do not want anyone to try and catch Bornish but gain her trust and get her to settle in one area. If you see her yourself do not be surprised if she does not recognise you and run straight up to you. There are some REUNITED dogs pages you can look at for advice on what to do. Rambo GSD WF4, Fable GSD CM12 and Ted BC CV6 these are dogs that were out for a while before being reunited. Good luck and hope to see Bornish in the BLUE soon. Come on Bornish get your little butt home. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

wonderful news. I am keeping everything crossed for you. Have you got posters up in these areas? Bornish is bound to be frightened now and nervous, but dogs have gone a lot longer on the loose, and have been re-united with their owners. Get on with the scenting now. Dogs on the run usually have a trianglular territory, so look at the map and mark out an area where she will be, according to sightings, and concentrate on that. Can't wait for good news. This will spur you on to find her.GOOD LUCK & BEST WISHES. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi we have been thinking of Bornish and keep checking to see if there is any news. My son saw her photo in the local paper and got all excited because he thought she had been found - I wish that were true - I have sent her poster to all my friends who live in Lennoxtown and Milton of Campsie. Hope she turns up soon. Best wishesLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Correction. I meant ' small dog ' not 'small bog'. But with the recent weather that could also be the case........ DomLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Sable and all. News. I have had two promissing calls this week. The first was from a woman in Lennoxtown who says that she saw a small dog very timmid and frightened looking last sunday evening on the street which ran on being approached. Today I was called by another woman this time from Milton of Campsie, about one mile from the Sunday sighting location. She says that last evening (Thurs) a small bog was in her rear garden but again very timmid and frightened looking, again it ran off when approached. Both locations are about 4-5 miles from my home and Bornish has been in the area before. Both women had seen my local papers advert which has a good likeness photo. I have looked in the area both times with no luck . Thanks DomLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so sorry there is still no word of wee Bornish. The not knowing is just unbearable isn't it? Don't give up though. she may turn up yet and keep checking the found pets pages, kennels, police and dog wardens every day or so. It is this sort of persisting that gets results. If you want to talk send me a PM with your landline number and I will call you. Best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Sable. Thank you for your posting and advice. We have done all of the suggested methods of publicising Bornishs' loss. We have found that the postering has ellicted the most responses, however no trace nor sightings of the dog. Dealing with authorities and agencies involved in the dealing with animals in Scotland has been a legistical and emotional nightmare and has left me most frustrated. Thank you all for your continued attention to the loss of our little dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you put posters up in all the local places where lots of people will see them, like chip shops, schools, shops, supermarkets, vets etc. Keep checking with the local dog homes where strays are taken to, because some of them do not phone you to let you know if your dog has been brought in. You have to do this every day. Pester the police too, because they are usually too busy to bother and there seems to be poor co-ordination between shifts changing. Posters seem to work. Print off loads and put them through people's doors too. If you contact head office they may be able to give more advice. We are all hoping Bornish is home soon. Best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
