I am not sure what 'fireworks are just fireworks' is meant to mean but agree that if they are in the wrong hands they are dangerous, and also if they are let off when dog owners are not expecting them they can cause the dog to run. No one knows the full facts here, so the comment is extremely unhelpful. I am so sorry Bruce did not make it home.

So very sorry about Bruce. Til you see him again at rainbow bridge. Thoughts with his family x x

Fireworks are lethal weapons in the wrong hands and cause so much distress to animals every year. They should be banned to the public. You do get some strange comments from so called animal people sometimes. If they had to sit with a distressed dog for hours they would also wish for a ban!

Run free Bruce forever young in the sunshine without fear. Xx

Such terrible news. Nightie, night. Bruce. sleep tight, and have fun with the other "Rainbow" babies who have also gone to the bridge. A~~~Candle~~~burns for you. Run free (HUG) X One day when the time is right, you will meet Bruce at the bridge, And won`t he be pleased to see you? He will be forever young. Now in the arms of a loving Angel.

Fireworks should only be allowed for organized displays; not sold to members of the public. Last year there was a petition asking the Government to reconsider and ban fireworks from public sale. I think the Government receive money form their sales. A man died last November (West mids) When a firework was pushed through his letter box. He was heard by witnesses screaming in agony. If that isn`t a good enough reason for the ban I don`t know what is.

Ps The petition was signed by over 40,000 peopleLast edited: 2018-01-01 13:25:10

So sorry Bruce didn't make it home how heartbreaking. Fire works need to be BANNED it is absolutely discusting they are still sold. Not sure how to take previous comment that
'Fireworks are just fireworks' this would not have happened if it wasn'the for these damn explosives.RIP beautiful Bruce x
