It is a distance away and this is probably a border terrier but difficult to tell from photos and you need to rule it out - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156951408484772&set=gm.2040713892662039&type=3&fref=mentions

Following an unexpected news article on Roxy this is an appeal for volunteers to discourage any new searchers chasing Roxy if sighted.
It has taken us literally months to encourage her to her secret cage and we are by no means there yet...it’s been a massive commitment by a small group of volunteers to get her on camera to confirm she is at least still alive....any change in her environment will make her run away and we will be back to square one
Shmoola
Can I help with the search? When do you need people?
Honeynut
Have you thought about using a thermal imaging camera? eg https://www.pass-thermal.co.uk/flir-scout-iii-240-thermal-camera. Or look up on google.

I am tweeting updates....can you tell me where you would like searches done at this point as I am hoping to help as I know others will?

Oh yes, sorry Jenny. I couldn’t remember the details. Thank goodness Monty has been found, hopefully Roxy will be too very soon.
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
MillieLucy - that was Teddy the beagle that went missing and it was my Tiga that tracked and found him. We are K9tracker form Kent not from Devon!
I have been in touch with Jo giving advice but there is also a good local team of volunteers working with Jo.
As soon as I can get to help and track I will but let's hope Roxy is back home soon.

MONTY HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS SAFE.
Anyone have thermal rods for holes? drainage co's?

PENN WOODS NEED SEARCHERS PLEASE - NEW REQUEST 1725HRS
TORCHES AND LISTEN OUT FOR SOUNDS IN HOLES

WE NEED HELP TO GET LOCATE ROXY THE TERRIER NOW WE HAVE MONTY if you can get to b4066 with torches, we believe she will poss be in Coaley Woods, or possibly on the opp side of that road, or down the woods slope towards Frocester.
Monty was seen in fields below the scrambling track in this pic then must have gone back uphill through the woods to the B4066 where he was found...so that is the target area of woodland for Roxy I think.
The car park is seen lower left of shot and the woods between that and the scrambling track are where he must have been this afternoon so may lead us to Roxy who may be in a hole so LISTEN FOR SOUNDS
Bring TORCHES
From Monty and Roxy's Facebook Page.

I remember a few years ago when a Beagle went missing near Cirencester they found her with the help of a tracker dog - I think the tracker dog was from Devon. Does anyone know anything about that sort of thing? Perhaps it could be tried.Last edited: 2018-01-02 22:23:38 by MillieLucy

Big searches over new year around Woodchester park, Coaley, Uley, Selsley following sighting on 28th pm of two very wet dogs on road by Coaley woods and Woodchester park (Selsley end), one was black. Today's search at woodchester park produced a credible and positive sounding sighting of one of the dogs (Roxy) at a distance. Search continues tomorrow, tonight is their 8th night out. Local press are covering. Facebook page is. Missing Dogs: Monty and Roxy, GL10Last edited: 2018-01-01 19:23:08 by Jot cotswolds

For both Monty and Roxy the search area is between Nympsfield down to Uley and on to Dursley/Stinchcombe. Owner thinks their exit from Nympsfield was via the woods at the top of Frocester hill. These dogs need finding..a week out now in terrible conditions and both are older dogs. This one..the terrier is deaf...so you need to listen out for her, she barks when in distress. They were seen running out of the village xmas eve lunchtime. If anyone can get to check fox holes and badger hole areas around Frocester woods, Coaley woods....that seems a useful plan give Roxy's history of being attracted to these...Last edited: 2017-12-30 14:36:48 by Jot cotswolds

*Update: neighbour in the village saw both dogs at 13:30 running from the garden towards the Rose&Crown on the day they went so the possible sighting in Woodchester is unlikely to be them.

Sorry to see that ROXY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (123641)

  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
