Hi I am aware this is a very longshot indeed !! but on Saturday 19th April ( yesterday ) we were coming back on a coach from Oxford and ped people off at Meadowhall - Sheffield. As we joined the M1 North a few of us saw a dog on the main TINSLEY roundabout which was of similar appearance think it was around 7.30pm - 8 pm . We rang the police to alert them and they said they would go and check it out. Might be worth at least a call ???? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, we lost our dog Bobby (Golden Retriever) on Saturday and found him again today, however before we found him I received a phone call from a lady saying she had seen a frightened dog in some fields near the river between Carleton and Skipton. She said he was a big dog, that looked blondeish and had jumped over a wall into the field infront of her, the dog had made her jump so she couldn't get a proper look but she said he/she didn't have any owners with him/her. Thought it was worth a mention? If you would like anymore information PM me and I can give you her number. Good luck with finding this gorgeous looking chappy x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

french bulldog owner - have emailed poster to Westmount in Hebden Bridge (HX7) and to Gatehouse in Haworth (they are the only vets in Haworth). BD22 is Keighley/Haworth area, so all doglost helpers in that area will have received mailshot/poster. Also Charlie's owners have put ads up in the Keighley News (weekly paper). I volunteer for Haworth Cat Rescue and we have a poster in our office where the public attend - it has been commented upon a few times (mainly that it's a funny looking cat). :) SaraLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please could the lady who called earlier and spoke to my son, please get in touch again concerning the farmer who has shot a husky in cowling. We fully appreciate the rules of the countryside. We do not blame farmers for shooting dogs. We would just like more information to confirm if it is Charlie or not. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Charlies family, welcome on board DL and thanks for updating everyone. You are doing a grand job in your search for Charlie. Fingers crossed something comes from getting him into all the papers. Try an cover as wide an area as possible and contact any bordering DW's, Police and kennels on a regular basis, do visit kennels at least once a week. Put smaller posters through doors and handout to as many people as possible, if people have a poster to hand they can contact you without having to wait and see a displayed poster. Good luck and hope to see Charlie in the BLUE soon. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Everybody in Charlies family would like to say a big thankyou for all your support and help. We are putting more posters up on Saturday and he has gone into six local papers this week, all with photos, and next week he goes in Bradfords local paper. We have had several possible sightings in several areas but to no avail. At 1:30 on wednesday i recieved a call about a husky in a local park. I immediately drove down, but unfortunatly it wasnt Charlie. We returned the dog to its owner. We would just like to say again, thankyou to everybody, not just on this website but everybody that has helped us. Come back soon Charlie. Love your family xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is not far from us. As soon as a picture is on site I will print and display and email it to people. It might be better to describe Cowling as near Keighley or Skipton rather than Bradford (which is about probably a good 15 miles away).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
