words fail me. Even if you dont care about dogs, why steal them when kennels are crammed full of the dumped, the abandoned etc. Why steal them then dump them???? I can't even contemplate why you would inflict suffering or pain on anyone, so am not going to try. So sorry to hear this news x

utterly appalled. I hope that poor Scooby went quickly and that he didn't know what was coming. I hope that Karma is real and that the people/person who did this gets what should be coming. This is clearly a matter for the police and RSPCA. I hope they pull their fingers out and investigate properly. Sleep tight sweetheart x

like yaze before me i was to upset to post last night and have tears again today re reading this. can't begin to imagine how these poor owners are feeling but i hope they realize how many people here are feeling their grief with them and we just wish we could be more help to them at this time xx

I just can't believe this. What the hell is going on? A GUN. Dog shot, and ran over. Is the gun owner licensed. If it were a farmer that shot him for sheep worrying, he would be obliged to report this to the police. I hope the B.....d that shot you ends up shooting him/herself. What have the police got to say on this one? Scooby, no one will ever harm you again. I am just oh so sorry. RIP little one, now go and play with my Eric and Sioux also on Rainbow Bridge. Oh god this is so sad I know I keep saying it but I hope to god that the scum that done this lives and get a crippling illness and they suffer an agonizing death. Word fail me (something which doesn't happen often) There is so much sadness here, what the hell makes people think that they can steal a dog which does not belong to them and abuse it in this way? First the terrible story of Mouse and now Scooby. I have worked in rescue for 10 years and I always shocked and appalled by the inhumanity and cruelty inflicted on these poor animals and the senselessness (if there is such a word) of it all. However I strongly believe that what goes around comes around and revenge is a dish best served cold. Rest in peace Scooby ~ you are free of pain now and I hope you didn't suffer. x

Sadly Scooby has been found. He had been shot in the head and then run over. He was found on Saturday in a field between Shinfield and Spencers Wood, not too far away from where Suzy was found. Now where is Molly? Mandy

Sorry to be joining the search a few days in (have been away this weekend) but would like to help if I can. Has anyone contacted the Wokingham Times? They played a big part (thanks to Sian's input from Dog Lost) in the successful return of one of my dogs just before Christmas and may be willing to run the story. Also, Mandy I could go out and poster tomorrow if more posters are still needed - just let me know where you think is best - has anyone done Arborfield or California Country Park?

have just been talking to Bearwood College, which has a 250 acre site on Mole Rd. They will put up posters and staff and pupils are being asked to keep a look out.

spent some time with staff at Nirvana health club on Mole Rd today (where Suzy was picked up) who have postered and their 24 hr security will keep an eye out for Scooby and Molly in the grounds.

I'm sure you have already done this but call your local council and ask to speak to the Travellers Liason Officer who can help with our mobile friends - also Travellers Times email - travellerstimes@ruralmedia.co.uk who will put a photo and advert on their local news section (they have done it for Maggie, my dog - and Buddy whose back home now) - Countrymans Weekly who will do a postcard size ad for ?70 inc photo. I'm a little bit out of your area but will do all I can to help. I know what you are going through - praying your dogs are home soon - GOOD LUCK
