As Malcolm is very timid, he may ba locked in an outbuilding such as a sheds garages, grenhouses, empty houses, and cellars etc Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Empty contents of the vacuum onto the garden as his scent will be there Wipe his scent on yuour garden fences, gates, doors too;l anything leading up to the garden. Walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattl some dreamies
Someone may be feeding him (Common problem) When darkness falls, and you are searching for him take with you a strong torch as it will reflect a cats eyes; at the same time try a squeaky toy as if locked in somewhere he may "Respond" in a way which will be familiar to you. Poster around the area, and put flyers through doors too. . When searching use the same deodorant/perfume/ etc you use on a daily basis as he will recognmize the scent. Paws xd.
