Murphy has been spotted in Ashtead Park area this morning. Please do not try to approach him, keep your distance, don't call him, just report new sightings. His owner is there and is working to a plan to recover him safely. Thank you for your continued support. Keep those sightings coming in please

No sighting this morning can anyone update if you seen this dog please

No sightings overnight. Please note Murphy is not streetwise. He has only known the inside of a kennel since he was a tiny pup. Very scared of everything :(

The post Julie crossposted re the sighting near the Greville was Murphy. Was about half past midnight. He ran down an alley on the Greville side of the A24 near to Bramley Way. Could be he's trying to make his way back to where he ran from. PLease make sure he can get back in if he does.

Crossposting from Red Alert FB page " We saw this dog today approx 1pm. He was travelling away from the bend in Park Lane towards Farm Lane. We slowed down and tried to whistle at it, but it continued to run away. Couldn't stop as I had the children in the car. We really hope he is found safe....."

I've just spoken to Denise and Lisa to get some background on Murphy. He's been rescued from Romania and has been in the country for a couple of weeks with a fosterer called Charlotte in Worthing. He was staying temporarily in Ashtead, so doesn't know the area at all or anybody here. Charlotte is now in Ashtead looking round Ashtead Park, which would seem to be the area he's been seen most in and would fit as a good hideout for him. She thinks he will come to her if he sees her. She also has his brother, although I'm not sure he's with her at the moment. I have advised them to contact the dog warden asap. Also told them to leave scent articles at the local address in the hope he might return there. I've also asked them to keep updating his page, so we can keep abreast of any sightings. There are a few local looking out for him.

A post on one of my shares says "A dog was seen on its own by Greville School Ashtead last night - the dog had a collar on and was medium/large and a caramel colour apparently dog ran off across the road". I have asked for clarification if this was on Epsom Road as possibly he has run into Ashtead Park. Last edited: 2017-06-24 14:43:26 by Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
