Some months ago someone lost a Yorkshire terrier
She got it back after 3 months
The lady did not recognise her own dog at all
It was hers as she was micro chipped
So never think it is not yours

tim g I am glad you have checked but please never be put off by length of coat etc as this can be changed & sometimes make the dog unrecognisable. Even chips can move or very sadly be removed.
I really hope you find your Alfie but please always check in person if there is any similar dogs found as I think that is the only real way to be certain. I have a labradoodle myself & i was convinced that found dog was one also.
michc thank you for your post that was the dog I was referring too 116705 . I understand this poor dog has now been returned to its 'owners' despite the appalling condition it was found in. I am praying it's ok x

Thank you for your concern and for contacting me to see if this Alfie was Alfie 116438. It isn't Alfie 116438 - he has longer shaggier hair and is black although he does have some ginger colouring around his mouth. We've just got back from searching but to no avail.

Please can you check that the reunited dog 116705 is not your Alfie.
To me he looks more like a labradoodle & I am very concerned for his welfare. I don't want to worry you but I just wanted to make sure you checked.
I really hope you find Alfie x
