Back with owners who were on holiday in the area - this from Amanda who went "door knocking" to see if anyone knew the dog:
"We asked around some of the houses till we found him, I then checked the picture against him and it was him! The owners was out so left a note for them to call me, they did, we had a chat and told them to look on doglost They found his picture on dog lost and confirmed it was him lol they on holiday. They said thank you for caring and that was that, they didn't want to meet face to face!"

Morning Geoff :) Hopefully this lad found his way home last night but just in case he didn't all vets in the area have now been notified and none have had one reported missing.
St Ives Vets.
Animal Vets (Hayle) who will also alert the Carbis Bay branch on Monday as they are closed today.
Hayle Veterinary Surgery.
Mounts Bay Vets - and the very observant person who answered my call had seen his photo on FB and commented that he was holding up one of his hind legs indicating possible injury.

Good evening Baydogs :) Not sure if anyone contacted vets as I suggested so if you could that would be great. Will see if I can share to Everything Hayle but may have to wait for approval unless my fellow Admins are members. Has been shared to Love St Ives and original postee is getting lots of comments on own timeline but not seen since lunchtime when he disappeared through someone's garden in the Higher Boskerris area.
EDIT: Fellow admin has added to St Ives Buy and Sell sites and approved me for Everything Hayle .... Latest comment from original postee (Tracey Walker): "*Update at 4pm: I haven't seen the dog for several hours now. It headed through a garden and towards steeple/tesco."Last edited: 2017-05-13 00:49:45 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

Might be an idea to share with Everything Hayle FB as well because with adders on the dunes many local folk walk on Porthkidney Sands (all year dog friendly) and he may have wandered up from there to Higher Boskerris.

Gorgeous boy.
Geoff, do you know if the local vets were alerted by anyone? If not, I'll do so in the morning....
