So happy to see Ola in the blue. A BIG well done to Pat Mills for a brilliant job and well done to all involved...

Glad Ola is home safe and well. Pat Mills you deserve a medal, you gave such good advise and obviously think the world of this dog and her welfare, fostering must be so hard and so rewarding to. Good luck to you all xxc

There have been several reported sightings of Ola, she is very nervous & running scared. It is really important please that no-one tried to catch her or even approaches her, there is a team of volunteers in the area working to set up a feeding station with a view to introducing a trap so it is important that she stays in the area & not scared off which may make her to move out of the area & jeopardise the efforts x

Lost dog Ola, I am her fosterer, she was with us since 30 Oct 2016, being almost five months, she is a sweet gentle dog, she has lived with Westies and Cavaliers, there is absolutley NO harm or vicousness in her AT ALL and you can approach her with the knowledge that she will not harm you, she was born on the streets of Portugal rescued by a lady who's name I gave Ola, and then came to Many Tears, then to me, it is best to approach her bending down to her, quietly saying Ola good girl Ola come Ola, keep bending and talking gently, keep down keep showing her the food, gently put the a training lead with slip collar on before you give it to her, or give her just a taste, she also likes very much Pedigree chews, which will keep her busy for a minute or so, also to go to her in a soft voice saying Ola good girl Ola, bend down and put on the collar, she will come with you. She likes riding in the car and not scared of that, but make sure you have her in a safe place, if you take her home, she can jump a 5 foot fence, so if you do not have that keep her on the lead and hold her. THANK YOU so much to you all for helping to find her, we are all devasted at her running away, and our hope is that she is found, best wishes to you all Pat Mills

Thank you Juniper Connal, important clarification x

Lisa just a small correction but important one as Ola has not been escaping from her adopters garden and coming back to him when she was ready.
In foster several hours away she escaped from the garden on a couple of occasions btbreturned to the garden the same way and allowed herself to be caught. This is not from the adopters home and Ola does not know how to return to the house.

Thanks Lisa for relaying the info. The info i am pretty sure all came from me last night.
A massive thanks to the local team helping. I am happy to explain how we go about catching these scared dogs, but I think some of the helpers in the area really do know what they are doing, and i am very greatful for that.

Here is a useful summary of position to date from helper Val in the area x "An update as I understand the events. Some were not known at the beginning. Peppa/Ola only been with new owner 3 days, slipped her collar near/outside The Muddy Duck HETHE, she ran off and was seen on the route as stated. Not sure how this info was gathered. This was Friday 24/3 not registered until Sat.25/3. New info is that in short while owner has had her she has run off but comes back to the garden to be caught. We did not know this so concentrated on the end of the route where she was sighted in a farm entrance. Pub has details as have numerous other pubs where she may or may not have been seen, as have Stables in the area. She loves food but may not respond to being called. The owner is not on Facebook but we now know he has a daughter and are hoping she joins and can give more help/info. Local volunteers are and have been scouring the areas where possible sightings were relayed. Until a confirmed sighting it is just a hope that people see her and report to someone. Both Vets, Ardley Rescue are aware"edit from Val "Now re reading all it was the foster home where she used to run off and come back to garden. This is in Cumbria!"

Went to Willaston Farm left them details, the farm is only accessed via a cattle grid, all fences are secured and lots of sheep around who seemed very settled not disturbed, then went along the road and put hand written descriptions through the cottages on the road, then went down to the estate put one through North Lodge letterbox, and Cold Harbour Farm, spoke to every cyclist, horse rider, runner and dog walkers, Spoke to a man who lives in the house at the road junction with Fringford and the Pub. Walked Jubilee ride, drove into every field that had a gate open, lots of sheep in adjoining fields who are all calm so didn't do extensive search just a quick sweep
Sammie
Helper Valerie has just recieved this useful info:
"Update from Bicester Vets...probable sighting last night near to Stratton Audley. They are contacting Red Lion Pub and Hunt Kennels."
Sammie
Spoke to the adopter earlier and explained how he can print off ready made posters from this page. The Doglost Oxfordshire FB page has a thread running for any fb users (adopter not on FB).
Serinne will update later but has been out and about spreading the word.
Valerie pinpointed a Typo on the lost details, but now updated. Thank you for spotting that. Local help and support is invaluable.
