Sam & Maddie
Thank you. I still miss her every single day 😒
Hollieberry
One year & one week missing Maddie is always in my thoughts when I am out walking .
Hollieberry
We seem to have a lack of Doglost helpers in the YO43 area & more dogs going missing from these rural areas .People share the missing dogs of Yo43 lets get them home .
Hollieberry
Maddie is still missing could be anywhere by now .
Hollieberry
Sam you need to keep Maddie in the publics eye ,been out today I haven't seen any posters .
Jaycey
Re-shared on FB. .Still hoping Maddie will be reunited xx
Hollieberry
I thought it was worth checking ,the dog warden do not always describe a dog correctly .Sam unless yo have a body you have to keep looking & hoping although I am beginning to wonder if she has been picked up by someone .I have searched almost every day but its a very large area she is lost in specially if she crossed the road & got into the fields. There is another dog in Seaton Ross who is missing with no sightings at all so not ruling out that one has been picked up as well .
Sam & Maddie
The dog in the pic has very similar colourings to Maddie but it's a Shih tzu x
Sam & Maddie
Hi Hollie, I don't know who is taking these down :( I'm in Leeds at the moment but my mum who lives locally said she's not sure why they've been taken down either. Mum said there are lots more still up and I asked if she can replace them this week, otherwise I am back Friday eve so can put more up at the weekend. As there have been no sightings I'm wondering whether she is dead :( :( :(
Hollieberry
Sam a long way away but anything is possible will you check found dog id 114903
Hollieberry
You must keep Maddie in the publics eye ,posters need replacing lots of walkers about now sorry for not replying sooner .
Hollieberry
They have been taken off the lamp posts on the Goodmanham road also been removed from the gates going onto the monkey run at both ends .
Sam & Maddie
Where from have they gone from?
Sam & Maddie
No I didn't know!!😳😒😑 just aboutbto speak to my parents to see if they know anything xx
Hollieberry
Sam I noticed today that the posters have been taken down are you aware of this ?

Maddie is lost in a vast rural area no sightings as yet still keeping my fingers crossed that she is found .
Hollieberry
Maddie has been missing for 40 days can people please share & tweet her details again please ?
Hollieberry
Sam if Maddie got under the fence at the far side of the bull field she could have crossed the road to open fields which go on for miles & it is a very rural area, that is a worry that was why I suggested early on to get a tracker dog in .I look every day but I am only capable of walking so far as I am quite elderly so I seem to be covering the same ground each time.Still a lot of people who I come across are unaware that Maddie is missing which is a shame .
Sam & Maddie
Thank you Hollie. I've reposted the missing poster on lost dog websites and given flyers to people I can think of which cover large areas. I do wonder how these dogs just disappear without a trace, especially in a small place like market weighton. We had called down all the rabbit/badger/fox holes we could find in the area in the days following her disappearance & heard nothing...unless she was killed down a hole within hours of disappearing...such a mystery😞 X
Hollieberry
Sam a dog was reunited last week after 8 months there was no sightings at all for the first 4 months so never give up hope .Keep trying to keep Maddie in the publics eye as much as you can .I will remind people on sites I have put her on .It is known that dogs that have been lost a while tend to venture out of their hiding place dusk till dawn, but even I am wondering if we should be looking further afield in case someone picked her up .
Sam & Maddie
My brother has just been to look in the fields up the top of Goodmanham near the farm as someone phoned my mum and said they spotted what looked like a small dog today but he said he could only see rabbits!πŸ™ˆ I'm back in Leeds now but I can ask my parents or sister to put posters in these places. I know, it's very strange that no one has seen her since the day she went missing. If anyone decent had her though you'd think that they would call the numbers on the tags or have the microchip read
Hollieberry
There is several entrances to the bull field that have no posters on but the gate that really needs one is the entrance at Weighton end near the waste bin I thinks it leads onto Spring View .I know because of the mud people have not strayed far from the railway track so the more posters the better.I am getting very concerned that Maddie has not been sighted specially as the bushes are springing into growth & I am beginning to wonder if someone has picked her up .
Sam & Maddie
I've put it on FB again today & keep putting it on local selling sites.
Thank u for checking & continuing to do so. I printed more flyers at the weekend so these can be put up. Which gates do you mean? Near Granny attic and around there?x
Hollieberry
Sam you have to keep pushing Maddie on social media sites to keep reminding people she is still missing .I have been out checking hedges almost every day since she went missing not many posters out there could with with them on all the kissing gates .
JANI
re-sharing x
Sam & Maddie
There have been a number of people going all through the tree's and hedge rows from the bull field to the end of the field opposite St. Helen's Well x
Sam & Maddie
Thank you so much xx
Hollieberry
Have shared today on every site I can think of .
Hollieberry
For a few nights round about the time Maddie went missing person or persons were out shooting at night so this may have scared her even more .Unfortunately because of the mud not so many folk have been on the bull field I think you need to get as many people as you can to do a thorough search of the bushes and hedgerows .

Hollieberry
After this length of time Maddie will be in survival mode so you need to search first thing in a morning and dusk when she will feel safe to come out of hiding, she will not go to people now. It is a possibility that she may now have lost her collar through weight loss although there is plenty of dead rabbits about for her to feed on.Have you had a word with the farm at the top of the hill & properties close by .
Sam & Maddie
She should do as my dad would walk that way with her most days, although sometimes he would drive to the football field & walk from there. She does tend to panic though if she's lost. She wouldn't run away from people. She's very cute & tempting to pick up. I'd have thought she would go towards MWeighton, however dad was walking from the other direction that day, towards MW from spring wells. The guy who said he thought he saw her in the bull field said she was running Goodmanham way.
Hollieberry
Sam would Maddie know her way home from where she was lost ?
Sam & Maddie
Poor Maddie still nowhere to be seen...just disappeared. No one has seen a thing, other than someone saying they sa her running across the bull field the same afternoon she went missing 😞
Hollieberry
Holiday4dogs if you read further down I was referring to another dog that went missing in this area .Maddie is still missing
Holidays4dogs
Hollieberry you don't mean Maddie was stolen & dumped in leeds, just to make it clear MADDIE IS STILL MISSING. I'll share again with our followers.
Hollieberry
She was stolen then dumped & luckily picked up by a Dog warden in Leeds .Have you been checking gumtree ads for dogs for sale also have you advertised Maddie in local papers also try & get a radio station to mention her .
Sam & Maddie
I'm going to take some more flyers to neighbouring villages. And maybe I need to widen the search & flyering. There are so many lost & found groups online. How did the dog get to Leeds?x
Hollieberry
I am still out walking each day & there is still a lot of people who are unaware of Maddie keep postering & spreading the word .I will share again on twitter & local groups .Don't give up on hope Sam dogs are found & some have incredible stories behind them. The last dog that went missing in this area was found in Leeds .
Sam & Maddie
Yes if there'a anything I'm not doing that I should be or any other ideas pls say xx had quite a few pics sent to be of lookalikes and a couple have looked really similar. So near but so far!
Sam & Maddie
I don't know of any gypsy sites near weighton. There are some that go down my parents street ccassionally and there is a poster on my parents car back window and says reward.
Hollieberry
Its 2 weeks since Maddie went missing I think the owner could really do with some advice .
Hollieberry
Happy ending for one dog ,you mentioned traveller sites is there any near to Weighton ?
Sam & Maddie
The other dog has been found - it found its way home. Good news but my Maddie still nowhere to be seen πŸ˜”
Hollieberry
hI again the other dog lost is not on this site ,can you give me deatails I will be out again later may as well look for two .Do you think Maddie may be snatched ?
Hollieberry
Hi Sam no I do not know of the other dog I have not received an alert yet. That is very strange indeed
Sam & Maddie
Hi Hollie, she could have done but I just think it's very strange that she would have been out all night. And if she did follow she had tags on.
Have you seen that another dog has gone missing today, same time, same place!😳
Hollieberry
I have been out in the fields almost every day walking my Springer always keeping my eyes open. The morning after Maddie went missing I saw a group of 60+ walkers setting off on the trail would Maddie follow them I wonder .
Hollieberry
Sam was Maddie chasing something something when she went missing was she seen to going down burrows ?
Sam & Maddie
Had a look with endoscope last night but didn't find anything. Not that many holes in that field as it's so boggy. Thinking of handing round for flyers at some gypsy camps 😬
Hollieberry
How are you doing with the endoscope Sam ?
DogLostSharon - Social Media Volunteer
I have shared with DL FB Page, Twitter & Public. I hope Maddie is safely back at home soon. X
Hollieberry
I am your local Doglost volunteer I live on the Goodmanham road side so I am searching that side as well I shall be out again tomorrow looking & spreading the word .Hopefully Maddie if stuck down a hole she will lose weight soon & be able to wriggle out. Please do not rule out a Tracker dog it will take you to where the scent stops .
Sam & Maddie
Thank u xx
I've got an endoscope now with a light on it so going to take that out
Hollieberry
Sam I have been across the fields today walked through 4 kissing gates and 5 entrances to the railway track no posters on any of these .Its very important to poster everywhere .If you print off the doglost poster you will be able to print 2 on an A4 sheet of paper.
Holidays4dogs
Shared with Holidays4Dogs followers on Facebook. Over 2,000 reached so far. Will check local FB groups too around HOSM & Mk Weighton. Holidays4Dogs head office is in this area.
Hollieberry
I am just going out now Sam to check some hedges away from where the walkers usually go .
Sam & Maddie
Thank you Xxx
Hollieberry
Could Admin send out alerts to hull a lot of walkers I have come across come from there .
Skywalker99
you need to leave somethuing that smells of you/her where she was seen and look down holes with a snake camera if possible...but also get her all over local social media plus sites like lostbox, harvey's army etc.
Hollieberry
Would Maddie know her way home from where she was lost ,time is of the essence if you are to use a tracker .Please read the advice on leaving a scented trail on the K9 Tracker website .
Hollieberry
Sam I have seen some of your posters have you done the lamp posts on the roads surrounding the field, Goodmanham rd ect Also have you checked the stream ? some places it is steep to get out off so if Maddie has gone in there she could have ventured further looking for an easy way out .
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
I have added this link on your FB post Sam, these guys have helped in the past I think
http://www.fellandmoorlandwtceastmids.com Hope Maddie is home safe soon x
Sam & Maddie
It's just on my FB page if you search for samantha hine there is a pic of me & Maddie - does that help? Will enquirer about the snake camera & k9 tracking x
Hollieberry
Do you know anyone with a snake camera ? also google K9 tracking there is good advice on there site .Also Maddie has been missing 4 days now she will be scared & probably in survival mode .Sorry I do not do FB very often what is your page called ?
Mary
Hi Sam. Are you using a piece of hosepipe with a funnel on the end to check the holes? Also do you know anyone with a snake camera, that you could use, to look down holes.
Sam & Maddie
We have checked every hole we can find by shouting down them & listening. She is a very friendly dog so wouldn't be hiding or scared of people. If anything she would panic and look for people.
Would I need to know the specific hole to use fire & rescue? The old railway line is part of the wolds way so protected area. People walk around there all the time & have been looking for days so if she was around I think she would have been seen. Although a few people have suggested leaving clothing so that's worth a try.
Thank you. Really appreciate any help xxLast edited: 2017-03-13 11:25:40 by Sam & Maddie
Abbie Girl
If its suspected Maddie is down a hole then Fire & Rescue have a specialist team to assist in such cases
Hollieberry
Dogs go very quiet if trapped or stuck so even though they can hear you, also dogs often go back to the spot they were lost from .Have you left an item of your clothing at this spot ? Have you had an advice from anyone if you suspect Maddie is down a hole ?
Sam & Maddie
She was last seen opposite St. Helens well in the fields. Thank u, really appreciate it. Have u seen my Facebook post? Yes she does occasionally go down holes! This is a real concern - we have literally been shouting & listening down every hole we can find in the area! :(
JANI
sharing to groups x
Hollieberry
Can the owner say at what point Maddie was last seen ? was it before St Helens well or past that point. Also there is a lot of walkers in the area owner needs to put posters all over the place. I take my Springer on that walk to will keep my eyes open & mention to other dog walkers .Is she the type of dog that would go down holes ?
