Have spoken direct to the owner this morning. Police spoke to him this am and now thinking it was a theft. When they speak to owner again to day he will ask for CRN number so status can be changed. Apparently there were other dogs missing over night but unaware of the area.

Dogwarden just confirmed the police notified Highways of the situation earlier to day

Both dogs went missing by 9.15am from gated and electronically controlled fencing at owners property. The daughter, Cara, was sadly found dead by the side of the A303. The Dog Warden had contacted me to notify me of this incident earlier today and had gone to the nearby solar farm to alert them and asked me to post on Spotted in Andover which I did. For local people the dogs went from the very top of Winchester Road (over A303 not town side) so the likely area would be Harewood or Clatfords. DW said the Police have tweeted so I will try and find that post and now search FB for any other posts.
