Please don't give up looking for Amy, dogs turn up in other areas and after quite some time. We have lots of helpers on here that will keep looking out for her and most reunited dogs get back by someone seeing a poster.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to hear ofAmys dissapearance. It is a sad fact that NOTHING is safe no matter what we do. And with a breed like a bulldog and being a puppy she is a prime target. its a double edged sword being a dog owner, do you allow a dog to run free of a lead, play with other dogs and exhibit normal behaviour but run the risk of it being taken, OR treat our dog like a child, watch its every move, not let it off the lead but it will be safe, we all love our dogs but all in different ways, there is no right or wrong just damm unlucky.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

amys lost do not feel that this is it you have lost her, go get her look on sites like gumtree put poster up in pups thats where a lot of dogs get sold on, also look in the re-united pages to see how long some of these dogs have gone missing and they have come back, do not give up, if you want this girl back work hard at getting her back, most of us on here would go to the end- of the earth to get our dogs back. just keep in there. you will get the result you want.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

amys lost you need to try and get some media coverage in the Liverpool Echo and any other local papers including the free ones. Keelah DL Press Officer will help you with a media story (see her earlier post 1.10.07) please do contact her. Someone may have innocently bought Amy. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live in Greasby (use to live in Birkenhead) and I've just printed some posters off and made them waterproof. I'll post some up on a common dog walker route through to Arrowe Park - you never know hopefully someone who knows someone who knows someone may have heard about her! Good luck and fingers and toes crossed you get your little furbaby back. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Radio City are not very forthcoming in putting missing dogs on the air. What you need is a media story in the papers and if you can get one in the Liverpool Echo that would cover a wide area. Make sure you let them know Amy belongs to your little daughter who is missing her and asking where she is. Keelah as mentioned earlier would be able to help you and write an article. Any pet insurance should cover costs of putting an advert in the paper with a picture (which does not come cheap). Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Called into Halewood RSPCA (which was shut today due to staff shortages) and have notified them of Amy, also local petshops. We need to spread the word as wide an area as possible and keep a close eye on adverts in papers and internet sites. Amy's Lost the football clubs are well worth targeting if you can, supporters travel to support a team, not necessarily in their area. I have a relative whose daughter plays for Tranmere and she lives in South Liverpool. We only need someone to see a poster and know someone (relative/friend/work colleague etc) who has acquired a new puppy fitting Amy's description. Keep up the good work in searching for her. amys lost I'm so sorry for the fact that the scum who have taken your dog as manage to get her and I'm sure you will get her back, I feel that no one was blaming you personally and as your dog is young you may not as do a lot of new owners of dogs know now it is not safe to leave them anywhere with out supervising them a very sad fact now in our lives No one in condemning you personally, but hope and prey that some day these scum that do this are dealt with by the law the way they should be, this can and dose happen to a lot of people and as i was saying that if animal T.V. programs and breeders and rescues highlight the fact that this happens to poor people like yourself who see no harm in living your dog to wounder around there own gardens this will keep happening, I and other wish you well in getting her back. can i please clarify 1 fact, amy was taken out the rear garden of our house which is surrounded by a 7ft fence all around, so whoever has stolen her has obviously been watching, and i have my suspissions but can not do anything as i cannot prove things. amy was outside for a max of 10 mins while she had her dinner and i took a shower for work.....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This site would not be here if I had not been a victim myself of leaving my dog in the garden for a few minutes-who doesn't? be honest we all do-the phone rings or the doorbell goes-why shouldn't our dogs be safe-lets remember the only attack we make on this site is against dog thieves!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with you Buffys mum a long with a lot of us no dog should not be left alone and and certainly not Puppy's, as you say they can get into so much danger, for a start they could, and a lot of owners are not aware some plants are very dangerous to dogs as well as humans, I my self have seen dogs left in cars and tied up outside shops and supermarket and I might add that the supermarket encourage this by leaving water bowls, It as for a long time now been the rule we don't leave kidds outside shop's like we was able to do so why do these people do it with there beloved dogs. also I on occasion have said to owners who have left there dogs outside or in a car when I have seen this and against by better judgment have stop them and told them do they know how many dogs get stolen like this and point them to this sight but on several occasions I have been in no uncertain terms to mind my own business, so my answer to this is if a lot of these animal programs we see on the T.V. and also a lot of breeders and rescue homes highlight the dangerous of leaving a dog alone then may just may be this will sink in as did the dangers of leaving kids alone outside shops. And like you this is not having a go at this poor owner who to no falut to them and was not aware for the nasty things going on now with animals, and now this as been a costly lesson for them, I'm praying and hoping this little dog is found and then this is another owner who then will be able to educate others. And thanks to this sight more of us are learning all the time. As I said to the owner before POSTER LIKE MAD DO NOT LET UP AND LIKE A LOT OF OTHERS THIS WILL PAY OFF. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This pups disapearance has been playing on my mind along with quite a few other 'lost' dogs. After several pm's and conversations about little Amy and other lost souls I have to say the following, please or offend. Why do people leave such little pups outside alone.Such tiny lives should always be accompanied, not just because they could get stolen but they can get into allsorts of mischief or difficulties -when will people get the message. NEVER leave puppies alone in the garden. NEVER leave dogs tied up outside shops and NEVER leave dogs alone in a parked car. Society these days is indescriminate and YOU will pay the price. These are my personal views and as such are things I would never do. The sooner people start being responsible about where dogs are left (even if it is a few minutes - thats all it takes to steal a dog) the fewer dogs would go 'missing'. Please note this is not aimed just at Amy's owners, I am not a 'witch hunter'. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Something i just thought of - Liverpool and Everton fc's are just up the road to you. If Amys not back by match day for either club then you can poster a good few thousand people!! I was at Anfield myself last weekend so try and put up some posters at the Mcdonalds drive through on the A road to Anfield.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

amys lost, try not to worry too much about the vaccinations at the moment, try to concentrate on getting those posters up and getting her home. There are a lot of dogs that are never vaccinated and they are fine. I always vaccinated mine though except one of my rottweilers that had an adverse reaction to the vaccs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, libraries, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Amy well. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
