Just had a call to say a dog has been seen outside Burger King in Wimbledon, it was reported as being YIFTAKI who looks nothing like KONA but although it is not impossible it is Yiffi I though I would check for any other dogs missing in this area. Tried to phone but got a business a/phone. If anyone reads this can you look out for whichever dog this is could you put a Yiftaki poster up for me - am miles away!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just spoken to owner. Quiet for last two weeks, no sightings. I know the lovely rangers are all on lookout still. Owner ringing around vets and rescues still. Come on Kona are you in someones house snug and warm somewhere? Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Deepwith you are going back some time, you maybe knew the stables that used to be in the village at the back of the pub in Roehampton? Now gone sadly. Yes I walked along the bridle paths, up past what was called 'the pancake' and saw lots of dog walkers who I gave posters too. Owner or someone has been postering around the common too. Saw common workers and they knew from the office but took poster anyhow to laminate and put on a post. Walked the cricket pitch at Telegraph Road and also got some dog walkers who had seen posters but greatful to carry one around. Underpass at Bessborough Road to the Cemetery the other side also done, Kona may have passed along the one further along the A3. Spent about two hours in all chatting and posters. Lets hope for more leads. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you postered the riding stables around - I used to ride over from Richmond Park to Wimbledon Common (many years ago!!) quite frequently. From horseback you see so much more than on foot - the mounted rangers there used to be very helpful.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The owner (I believe) has been up to the Ranger's Office at lunchtime today and advised a colleague that he has had a report of a siting of Kona on Wimbledon Common. All our staff are now aware and have been asked to contact me if they see Kona. I will also add Kona's details to our own website.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kona was spotted still in the area two days ago. Owner has been handing out leaflets at car boots in Wimbledon as well as posters everywhere. Durnsford Road / Ashen Grove is the area of loss and last sightings. Police aware and all local DW's and vets. Can we get some helpers postering please and let us know on here? As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Conan well. Stay safe Conan, until you are back home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
