Dachshund found, in Great Gidding. Original post on Michelle's FB page says the Dachshund is a female. Please also check FB post put onto Stolen Dogs UK FB page. Finder Michelle Claire has also posted the Dachshund on her FB page. Both pages show photo of the found dog. Better information & photos are on Michelle Claire's FB page. Body scanned for chip, but nothing found.
Reading the finder's FB page it says that there may evidence that a chip may have been removed. But they can't say for certain

An Garda Siochàna - Irish police- have recently seized 24 Dachshunds believed to be stolen. All dogs have been removed to Ashtown Pound.

I hope there is some news soon. Hoping that she is safe somewhere. She is still being shared on fb.

Just thought I'd let Holly and Nick know that, whilst talking to people about Nessa (108561), many have also mentioned Crouton.
So although there have been no sightings for a while, she has not been forgotten x

Holly & Nick have postered virtually every house in area where she was last seen. Keeping everything crossed now that there is another sighting & she will soon be home x

Thinking of Crouton and owners, and hoping for good news soon x

Sighting of Crouton this morning in area previously seen. Owners do not at this stage want the info divulging, as they do not want loads of people down there scaring her off.

There is a feature today on Crouton in the West Briton Newpaper. Hoping it brings results, will bump her page.

Max, with ref to this possible sighting can you alert those following Crouton on FB that they may find these live webcams useful. Link here-

Wouldn't suprise me if she's trying to cross that river and make it home. Hopefully she'll be spotted now.
I wonder if Pirate FM and Radio Cornwall would put out an early alert prior to the first ferry crossings tomorrow morning?

Owners received info of a possibly sighting, seems yesterday a dog ( possibly Crouton) was sighted on road between King Harry Ferry & Trelissick Gardens entrance. Sadly they only just got the info & it was thought it was this evening, so they have been down there letting people know & will get posters/flyers out. The Ferry company & Gardens are aware.
It is possible Crouton is trying to make her was back home. She is familiar with the ferry & knows the diesel smell of the engines, so could still be in area.
Have offered further advice about going down very early in morning & sitting in car park of Trelissick gardens with doors open so she could catch their scent.

Nina, yes owners have scenting instructions. They have been camped out now for 3 days. There has been no further sightings. It is thought she could be hiding in a barn somewhere warm.
They have trail cameras/infra red etc, so are well equipped. They are going to set one up in a barn, where they suspect she may be hiding. They are also taking advice from someone who is knowledgeable in scenting etc.

Has owner been given scenting instructions in case that would help.Last edited: 2016-11-17 19:51:51 by Nina

There are a lot of people helping to try & get Crouton home. The owners & friends are taking turns to camp in area where she was last seen. Sadly she hasn't been spotted since. They are hoping for another sighting so they can set up a trap

*** I have just spoken to Holly, due to the sighting, she is going to the area tonight with her husband & they will be setting up camp & having BBQ in the hope that Crouton will show herself. At the moment, we do not want people en masse in the area, so as not to frighten her off. It is important that if she is seen, you report the sightings, taking note of location/time/date, as dogs will follow a certain pattern to try to get back to the place from where they went missing. If there are sightings, a feeding station can be set up, to gain her confidence & then a trap ( if she is too nervous to go back to her owners, which happens). Please do not leave food anywhere for her, as she needs to be hungry for this to work *** Thank you
Baydogs
Is there a barn or any shelter near the sighting last night? If so, is a feed station going to be set up and are any trailcams needed?

Was going to go over with snakecam to examine holes and within thick gorse but gather there was a sighting last night so this lass obviously not stuck which is good news.

Crouton went missing whilst out on a walk yesterday. She was being looked after whilst owners were away. I understand they are now back, but I have not yet made contact. The info has come from a friend who was out searching. I will make contact later this morning & forward advice info.
