yes I have heard people mention about missing cats - good idea to report to police. I have 2 cats myself. Kailash is also on this site - no success so far. Do you want me to put Arnie on streetlife or will you
jess_robbo
@janiejewel - thanks for your comment, we dont really have anything with his scent on as he slept on the beds etc, he didnt really have his own bed. Its really unusual and out of character for him to not come home, he normally has the same routine everyday. On two consecutive days before he went missing, he brought mice back - this makes us think he could have possibly been getting them from the meadows. Really hoping to get him back, he is microchipped but there are a few cats from our neighbourhood that havent returned recently. Kailash the cat who is also missing is from a house just a few doors away which makes us worry.

@jenkins - i have posted to the lost and found trafford facebook page, but I am not a member on streetlife. Streetlife might be quite useful as there have been a few strange things happening with the cats from round here from what I have heard from the neighbours - we have alerted the police re. the situation.

Jess - can I also suggest you adding post to Lost and Found Pets Trafford Facebook page and also Streetlife as they both have local people following. If you are not able to, I can do for you. I would add that coming to DogLost was the best move and hopefully your cat will be found :)

Also wipe his scent around your garden fences, gates doors too. Your scent too. Someone may be feeding him in the area. As neutered should not be too far away. Presume all outbuildings checked thoroughly?Last edited: 2016-10-11 20:19:45

ok, well you are doing the right things - cats can go walkies and turn up weeks later as if they have never been away. I will keep an eye out - fingers crossed x

@jenkins -thankyou so much for your reply. We have handed out lots of posters and put posters in shops around urmston and stretford, and will continue to do so.

Hi - I am in M41 near Humphrey Park and will look out for your cat - it is really important to get posters put up in shops, places where lots of people go and flyers through doors. The posters printed from this site are very good - if you need any help I can photocopy some for you - just let me know.

Sorry to see that ARNIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (105791)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
