The snowy above has a crescent moon shaped scar on her left side. She would be about 8 or 9 now.

Thank you for contacting us, I hope you manage to find the dog's owner and that possibly it is the one from Dorset. Also we still hope that Snowy will turn up safe and sound somewhere.
CAT
Sadly the chip number of the dog in the Netherlands doesn't match Snowy's chip. I wish you luck and really hope you do find your Snowy one day.
Wallydog
Last few numbers of the chip are 36500. Do let us know if they are a match. Fingers crossed.
CAT
Similar dog found in Netherlands with UK microchip but may have been sold on. Could we have chip number please to see if they match?
csquaredb
Please check this one out. Found in Netherlands but with English chip evidently. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1437476169614115&set=a.793419710686434.1073741825.100000552363738&type=3&theater

Sadly 104838 was not our Snowy and it would seem the trail is cold. We are hopeful that she may turn up one day, and has not been PTS or worse.

I feel sure that this dog is the same as 104838 and am waiting to speak to the dog warden on Monday so that we can compare microchip numbers.
Wallydog
We have spoken to the Dog Warden, Wakefield Dog Rescue, Whitehall Dog Rescue, Flushdyke Kennels, Manor Kennels, Mount Pleasant Kennels, Cliff Kennels,Cross Kennels and the Police, but no one has seen a dog of Snowy's description. We are wondering if she may have been put to sleep as no one claimed her - how would we find out? Is there any other 'compounds' that we could try?
DogLostMe N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
Try the Wakefield Dog Warden, if not handed in to warden they should have been informed.
Wallydog
We now know that Snowy was living on the streets in Wakefield, but has been handed into a shelter or rescue place. Unfortunately her microchip was not registered until this week, as there had been uncertainty as to whose name to register in. This has now been resolved, and if she is found my friend Miss Sara Hammond will become her legal owner. We will go on line and find as many rescue places as we can, but if anyone local could assist us it would really help.

ADMIN can postcode alerts go out to Wakefield area as well WF1 to WF17. Thanks Wallydog
Wallydog
We now know that she is probably in the Wakefield area, so if alerts can be sent to Wakefield post codes as well, we would be grateful. I have added the microchip number.

They are travelling people, but I will try to get more detail and add the microchip number later

POSTCODE/town/region incompatible. Bradford is BD postcodes,LS is Leeds postcodes, LE is leicester postcodes. Wallydog can you try and find a rough area so that alerts can be sent out to volunteers and people that moniter this site, thanks. I'd think the brothers town would be a good starting point.Last edited: 2016-10-04 14:39:00 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

The owner gave the dog to his brother to look after for him, and his brother gave him to someone else. We have no idea where or when she went missing, and I had to pick a postcode to get her registered on here.

Admin
Sorry to see that SNOWY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (105467)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
