Baydogs....maybe if that was last night as you said, perhaps the lady rang the police with description of van and maybe that is why they were caught today.....sounds like too much of a coincidence for it to be another people doing gutters...but of course I am only speculating.. Thank you for the update though and thanks god that lady grabbed her dog.
Baydogs
Crossposted. A shared post so I am not certain of when "last night" was.
From Animals Lost Found and Needing Help in Dorset-
"this is a warning its getting seriously worrying Another attempt at stealing a dog in ferndown last night. Please be careful everyone and keep an eye on your furry friends! My mums friend had people wanting to 'look a the gutters'. They walked into her garden and picked up her cocker spaniel. Lucky she realised it was suspicious, grabbed her dog and the men left. Too much off this is happening at the moment but unfortunately I till they're caught it isn't going to stop. Please everyone be careful and if someone randomly asks to look at your gutters SAY NO!!! I know I'd be heartbroken if my little man was taken away from me"

Wonderful news Millie is safe hopefully we will get a reunited photo xxxx
Baydogs
Doglover,I'll try and find that warning re the gutter cleaners that I saw earlier today. I don't remember what area it was but it may be connected and could be useful if the other dog is not chipped.

Baydogs ....link has been updated...Van was found in Eastbourne and there was another dog inside as well...hoping it is. Chipped. Owners are on their way to collect Millie and the 3 men have been arrested ....

Yes, that's the right link doglover. I have also read another warning somewhere this morning about men asking to clean gutters and attempting to take dogs. On your guard folks!
Must have been hot in the back of a van too :(
Doglover
Baydogs here is the link where I saw it.........if that link does not show it was Animals lost and found in Dorset.

Does Millie have a Facebook page? She definitely needs to be made Too Hot To Handle in as many forms as possible and her posters should be seen EVERYWHERE in the area.
RonnieCSS
Just read Bournemouth Echo report that "travellers" arrived Thursday and have set up Muscliff. Might be worth a scout around the area before they're moved on.
Folly
Yes, Jenny. It was the 2 for 1 pub, The Woodmans or similar and it really is not that far. The people concerned had a large white sign-written van.The previous stolen dog was a few years ago and I think it was a spaniel. it was very hushed up at the time, not even put in the local paper.Scouring the steam fair is an excellent idea though they may have sold Millie on by then.Being chipped should make her difficult to sell on.
Mot
Please remember that the steam fair is next week so there gypies in the area looking to take dogs. Maybe possible to get in contact with the police that deals with them at the steam fair to check round for MillieLast edited: 2016-08-21 17:44:31 by Mot

Never heard of one being stolen from there before Folly. What one was that please? And I assume the pub you mean is the 2 for one which is opposite where the St.Leonards hospital used to be which is a fair distance from the kennels Last edited: 2016-08-21 15:17:14
Folly
I do hope Millie is soon recovered. This is not the first time a dog has been stolen from Noark. The dogs in some kennels are so visible from the main A31. We all need to be aware. There were Irish travellers eating in the pub almost opposite the kennels on Monday evening so perhaps they are staying in the area for a while.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
changed to stolen with CRN added . FB links to new poster plus twitter alerts sent out.

Please provide a police crime reference number which will enable us to flag Millie as stolen rather than missing. If she is microcipped contact the chip company and flag her as missing and either update her page here or email her microchip number.(this will not show publicly).
