This person is very lovely and has been doing a lot for the owner in sorting all this out and coming to arrangements with the people that now have the dogs. The people that have the 2nd dog have been in touch with this person and have come to an arrangement, they have been I touch with photos. I have seen the e mails because they wanted me to confirm I got the first pup from the same place x

- Hi CJ. That town is Camborne.
(Probably sounded like Canbourne over the phone.)
Will be looking out for this pup. Now nearly 16 weeks old..is that correct? - 2016-10-04 13:40 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- One more of the stolen puppies has been located as Annibase were contacted for change of ownership. After sending a data release form to Annibase- details were released to police who will now be making contact.
They cannot give any details but it is thought this puppy maybe in the Cambourne area so asking for alerts to go out postcode TR14.
This person may have bought a new puppy without realising was stolen so until we get more information all we can do is alert helpers in this area. - 2016-09-29 14:18 Simbarose

- Rachmacs, I don't know if someone posted something after me and it was deleted is what you're replying to or if any of that was aimed at me but I simply posted a link to a puppy that looked very much like the pups that were missing.
Never even looked down the page to be honest and saw what happened with you. Sorry if that wasn't about me and the wires were crossed but I can just seen now that my comment is awaiting moderation :) - 2016-09-21 09:46 Rachmacs
- Oh and jasper the police and rspca are useless and not interested in it at all. There are loads of dogs needing homes on the Internet people selling them because they no longer have time for them, i always look at those or rescue when I was looking for our family pet , you can say the same about buying from some breeders, it encourages irresponsible breeding, we all know the majority of breeders are not the best even though you can see the pups with the parents we all know that lots do it for making a fast buck and not for the love of the animals. I suspect the other 3 will be used for puppy farming as the travellers do, I'm just glad I've got one out of that.Last edited: 2016-09-21 10:14:30 by Rachmacs
- 2016-09-21 09:40 Rachmacs
- Of course the rescue does not buy dogs! Dogs that are free to good home and at risk! As CJ states the owner is then contacted and offered a rescue space if available of course. Not quite sure why I'm being made out to be some sort of criminal here, I bought lola in good faith and then did the right thing straight away, it was actually me that pursued it as I had no contact from police or breeder (which was not the lovely breeders fault as she is an elderly lady) for over a week but kept trying all means to make contact. And now I am being slated I find some of you really quite rude Last edited: 2016-09-21 10:11:46 by Rachmacs
- 2016-09-21 09:06 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- First of all can I ask this page is kept for comments to help find these puppies. Jasper in answer to your question i think you misread Rachmacs post- she stated fosters dogs sometimes for a rescue-I always look for dogs that need homes for the rescue that I foster for. There is no indication of buying dogs for a rescue at all. Often people advertise on the internet of a dog needing a home and i read that post to suggest that they were contacted to advise to take to a rescue which is something I have also done.
- 2016-09-21 08:29 Jasper - Area Volunteer, Somerset
- Are you saying that the rescue that you foster for actually buys dogs off the internet? If so I would like to know the name of that rescue. To buy a puppy off the Internet in whatever circumstances is irresponsible- we have police, RSPCA to address animal cruelty issues. To pay £ 600 for a dog in any situation will only exacerbate the ongoing stray dog problem as any rescue organisation will tell you.(one dog is euthanised every 2 hours in the uk) Anyway, One very happy traveler, laughing all the way to the bank.
- 2016-09-21 07:24 Rachmacs
- I think you are the friend of the breeder that has been contacting me regularly for my help? And have been very lovely to.me on the phone? Please don't ask for my help and then have me e mail you photos of my dogs, and ask me for help finding the others and then come on a public site and slate me. You could have confronted me when we have spoken on the phone
- 2016-09-21 07:21 Rachmacs
- Sorry one last thing. Check your information first. They were stolen 2 WEEKS before I got her so hadn't been to the vets 2 days before. I have her paperwork and she had been to the vets before she was stolen but was then God knows where for 2 weeks. She was full of fleas and worms which you can check with my vets. Hence the need for the strict diet for a few days. Check your facts
- 2016-09-21 07:16 Rachmacs
- Oh and it wasn't "on the cheap" as you suggest. He was asking £600 for her. I find your comments so rude, most people would have just kept quiet which I wish I had done now. I've been in touch with this breeder sending regular updates and photos of lola. I've also every single day been scouring for sale sites looking for any that may be lolas siblings and sending links to the friend of the owner (jen) so please do not come on this public site and start critiscising me. I am a decent person with a kind heart and I find this very rude. If you could have happily seen this dog (that you were looking to buy for a family pet) in a travellers caravan in a poor condition and walked away because thats the right thing to do then you're clearly a better person than me. And before you say I should have contacted the police - they haven't been to the site even tho i have an address and phone number for them and he's advertising other dogs for sale. Critiscise me as much as you please but I have this pup sat next to.me now happy healthy and loved all because of my irresponsible actions! The fate of the other 3 isn't known.
- 2016-09-21 07:08 Rachmacs
- Thanks for your nor so useful input. Are you actually suggesting that most dogs that are advertised cheaply are probably stolen? I always look for dogs that need homes for the rescue that I foster for. I happened to see lola who was advertised because they had bought a puppy and didn't have time for it and basically the novelty had worn off for his daughter. That is also how I got my other cocker. There are lots of dogs that need homes and I sold rather do that than line the pockets of breeders. So I am trying to make myself look good as you suggest. When I got there I could see they were travellers albeit on a private site, and lola was not in a good state of health. I would have paid double the money to get her out of there. And then I took her straight to the vet to get her scanned. So do not start critiscising me. At least one of these pups is in a safe loving home and not God knows where like the other 3. And do you know what I would do it all over again tomorrow if I had to. Last edited: 2016-09-21 07:25:41 by Rachmacs

- This owner is lucky that arrangements were made after negotiations with owner. However anyone buying a puppy advertised on the internet should really see any puppy with the parents. If this person selling Lola had bought the puppy and changed their mind any respectable breeder would take the puppy back so no need to offer on a selling site-
if it looks too cheap with a 'sob' story and is being sold without parents then best advise is to leave alone as in far too many cases it will be stolen. - 2016-09-02 13:03 nicolapicola
- It seems clear that rachmacs was doing good as she rescued the puppy from poor conditions and probably saved its life. I have every sympathy with people who see a dog who is in a poor and distressed condition with the travellers (or others) and want to help it. YOu would have to have a very hard heart to leave it to its fate. Obviously (as she says) it had not occurred to her that the puppy was stolen so she would not have thought of alerting the police. Once she did know, she has done everything possible to sort the matter out in the right way and also alerted the police to the possible whereabouts of 2 of the other puppies.

- Update on this puppy
Hi just to let you know lola is staying with us!!!!!! We've negotiated with the owner and they agree she's best to stay put. So happy.
R x - 2016-09-02 09:52 merryan
- when will people learn that buying a cheap puppy from a traveler is proberly stolen and they are the people to blame, they are keeping this trade in stolen dogs going, this puppy that was found had a new owner waiting for it to go to. it had been to the vets only a few days before it was stolen so it did not have fleas or worms, is the person who got themselfs a pup on the cheap just trying to make out they were doing good, if you you want a pup do it the right way
- 2016-09-01 08:32 Rachmacs
- She didn't just try and make contact, she did make contact through a friend yesterday. I've been anxiously awaiting a call for over a week now x

- 2016-08-28 08:45 Rachmacs
- Hi everyone, it's me that has one of these puppies mentioned below. I am anxiously waiting to hear from the owner I have left messages and have been speaking to the vet and police daily. We got her from a travellers site after seeing her in a bad condition and I couldn't leave here. She was losing all her fur, full of worms and fleas and very withdrawn. We've had her on a diet of chicken rice fish and eggs for a week and she's doing amazing. We were devastated when we found out she was stolen and we may lose her. She is so happy now and she's one of our family. We love her so much. We've had a week of sleepless nights with her and now we are getting somewhere she's looking so much better, almost house trained and almost sleeping through. I can't bear the thought of losing her and the waiting is just the worst. I also sent a link to the police of an advert which I believed may be 2 others in Essex. I'll try and find the post and keep you updated. We work for a rescue and have fostered so many dogs so to find the one that we instantly fell in love with might not be able to stay is devastating xx

- A lady on Twitter apparently bought one of the pups off pets4homes and has contacted the police and owner. She has cared for the pup and done the right thing. Poor little mite had not been well fed and has worms. I hope the other pups are rescued too soon. There needs to be much tougher penalties for the scum who steal animals which reflects the suffering to animals, owners and those who believe the lies and buy them.

- I visited this lovely lady when 3 of her older spaniels were taken a while ago. The last time the thieves dumped one poor dog in a nearby field and then the other 2 in Chesterton village, whereby they were reported (presumably) and collected and taken to dog home and then she had to pay to get them back. The Police have been contacted.
All 4 puppies are micro-chipped.
