The Found dog is now shown as reunited on SDK, can anyone confirm whether or not it was Sam?

Hi Max, as local volunteers we worked with the river authority representative a few years ago on another search same location - he will no doubt still have our contact details and keeps an eye out for dogs on their land which is restricted to walkers/riders but where dogs sometime roam. Fingers crossed for good news soon for them.

Hollieberry, that is a good idea. I have spoken to Emma & she is overwhelmed by the support she has had from everyone. She will follow it up.
Although Samson hasn't been found, they are all grieving for him, as she feels he would definitely have come home ( & not wandered off at all).
Where he went missing is very dangerous & not really visible, so she is also going to take steps to get warning signs put up there.
Until he is found, there is still hope.

Has the river authority been contacted to see if they can check the tunnel/culvert ?

I have had a message from Emma the owner. She went back to the area where Sammy went missing & although the river there is not fast flowing at the moment, there is a section where there seems to be a tunnel/culvert where the water gets sucked down fast. (Not very visible initially) She feels Sammy may have gone down there, as this was roughly where he went missing from. Although he has not been found, she feels that this may have happened :( He knows the area well & would know his way back home, as it is not far away.

We have an owner post for Samson on DogLost Corwall fb page (with photos).
I have emailed standard advice sheets and asked OP if she would like me to upload photos so that alerts and shares can go ahead.
Admin
Sorry to see that SAMSON MISSING A YEAR is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (102776)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
