Just a quick update on Gordon for you all. We continue to have sightings almost daily now, and although i am desperate to have him home, these things are going to take time. So in the meantime please keep letting me know when and where you see him, but do not approach, i appreciate you all getting in touch as its building up a picture of his habits.

Gordon was sighted on Tuesday just gone by his fosterer Hazel. Fantastic he's still in the area and the team of people helping are doing a fantastic job. I'm sure he will be home before we know it xx

So, we have another positive sighting tonight...this time by ME !! I am so happy that i have now seen him myself and he looks fine, so must be finding enough food. However, this is only the start to getting him back home, so will update whenever possible. Thank you to all of you, you have kept me going when i would probably have given up. Now the hard work begins :)

Friday 22nd update:

Morning everyone, thats now 14 days that Gordon has been on the loose and have no other sightings since Wednesday. If you are out and about over the weekend please be on the lookout for him. If you do see him can i ask if at all possible, that you try and take a picture of him so that i can see how he is looking. If you cant dont worry, i will be just as grateful of any sightings and area. Myself and my hubby and Tess ( my other rommie dog ) will be out and about over the weekend, so if you see us, stop and say hi, would be nice to be able to put faces to names of all you lovely people helping me get Gordon back. Have a great weekend, and i will post if there are anymore sightings.

Gordon was sighted on 20th xx

PLEASE CAN EVERYONE SHARE THIS POST EVERYWHERE

:) Morning :) There has been another positive sighting of Gordon this morning about 7.30 am up in Scorguie :) A lady in Croft Road went to let her own dogs out in her garden, but for some reason she looked out her window first and seen him. She went and opened her sliding door but he bolted, unfortunately she didnt see what way he went, but could have headed up towards the woods. She did wonder at first if he had been another wee dog that bolted from its owners during the storm, but then her husband remembered about Gordon and after looking at his pic on here she is absolutely positive it was him. She had left her garage door open last night so he maybe took shelter there. So it looks like he is heading back this way, hopefully he may only shelter in the woods until it drys up, and then starts moving again, and hopefully down towards the canal. So if there is anyone out and about up there today, please please keep an eye out for him, any sighting whatsoever phone me immediately and try and keep him in your sight, it would also be handy if you could have some ham with you as he loves that as a treat. Dear god, let it be today that we bring him home. Amen xx

Please see update, can you, or do you know anyone who may be able to help? xx

Morning everyone, have spent the night trying to work out what to do next, and have decided that we need to do a proper search. The area we need to cover is huge, but if we have groups of people out looking we should be able to cover it and, hopefully find Gordon. It will be 7 days tomorrow since the last sighting of Gordon, and he must be getting hungry by now. I am looking for volunteer's to search in the following areas, during the day, early and late evening and early morning, but for your own safety please go in pairs, especially late evenings when it is dark.

Dalneigh : this covers a large area so need a few volunteers
Bught
Islands
Holm Mills
Merkinch
Canal : Muirton & Clachnaharry towards Dochgarroch
Whin Park
Kinmyles
Scorguie
Town Centre
Carse

We may have to widen our search areas so if your area is not listed here, please keep an eye out for him, just in case

Can i also ask if you would speak to your neighbours and friends to please look in their gardens, sheds, outbuildings, allotments for any sign of an animal hiding out.
Also pls check out commercial waste bins, ie hotels, take aways etc as these could be a source of food for him

Could i ask everyone to pm me pls with what area they would like to search in, so i know i have every base covered.

I should also say this search will be ongoing until we find Gordon and bring him home.

Latest update from Hazel xx

Have been and spoken to the lady who said she had seen Gordon on Fairfield Road, and yes she is certain that the dog that was in her garden was in fact Gordon. Everything she told me has made me 100% sure it was, but............this was on Wednesday, the day after Douglas Mackay seen him on the island. So it all ties into him leaving the island either on the tuesday night or the wednesday morning after the Fire Service had also been on the island. And it also ties in with the sighting on Maxwell Drive. So we now have 3 sightings of him, but where do we go from here ? It is still possible he is trying to make his way back towards Bught, but i also need to make sure that all bases are covered, including down river roundabout Wells Street, also the canal at Muirtown, heading to Bught. If anyone has any other suggestions by all means post freely, as i am open to all ideas. It also doesnt matter if more than one person or people cover the same area as sometimes we may miss things the first, second or even third time around, what matters is that we cover it.

Update from Hazel xx

Sorry for the lack of post today, but i have been busy trying to figure out where he could go next......now if the sighting on Fairfield Road is him then there is a few ways he could go....he could possibly be hiding out in the school and using it as his base. So he could possibly go up towards the canal, or he could try and go down towards Greig street etc and down to the river to try find his way back. So i took Tess out with the hope she left her scent for him and we walked down the river right to Wells street, around a couple of blocks there then back along again. So ideally i could do with some walkers around these areas the next few evenings, preferably later in the evening when its a bit quieter, but anytime will do if people cant do later, im grateful for whatever help i can get. Think i have tracked down the lady who contacted me so will be going to see her later. Tess and i are both soaked to the skin so im heading for a shower to warm up and Tess has been dried off and is now curled up in her blanket snoaring her little head off. She did really well today when we came upon all the traffic and people at the city centre, as she has never been walked over there before. Tess is also a Romanian Rescue dog, about 14 months old and we have only had her about 3 months, so still a puppy, but oh boy does she miss Gordon too. Im off for my shower and will check in later. Thanks in advance for any help. xx

Update from a helper:

I was out anyway and went down Springfield Gardens, Torvean, Bught Park, Whin Park, Ballifeary Road, Glenurqhurt Road and Maxwell Drive. Then over to Island Bank Road and up past Drummond school on my way home in my car and didn't see him. I'll share and get as many people as possible to watch for him! I did not leave my car or shout him or anything. I was just hoping I may have spotted him while it was dark and quiet. It is awful when a pet goes missing. They are more than just pets, they are family members! I will keep everything crossed that he makes it back to you safe and sound!

Copied from Gordon's fosterer xx

Have been out over all the islands, Bellfield park etc and no sign of Gordon. So tonight we will be back out as its getting dark to see if he has come out of hiding and on the look out for food at Bught Park where the Highland Games are on. A lot of people = a lot of dropped food. I think its been far to noisy for him to come out today, but ...never say never.

I have been contacted by Silver Fox to try and help with little Gordon, a rescue dog from Romania. He was only with his fosterer for 3 weeks, and spent the first 10 days in his cage, until he finally built up the courage to come out. His fosterer Hazel has done wonders with him in those 3 weeks, and a few days before he went missing, he was out of his cage, running around with the other dogs, playing and having a taste of the good life. On Friday 8th, Hazel was walking him on Bught Park, when a car back fired and Gordon bolted, ripping the extendable lead from Hazel's hands. He has since been able to get out of his harness and this has been found, along with his lead. Hazel and a team of people have worked so hard since, they have postered all the surrounding area, searching day and night. Gordon has managed to swim across to the little island for those that know the area, he has been sighted on there, the last sighting being Tuesday 12th. The fire brigade have been helping, people have swum across themselves to help, they have had boats out, traps have been set up etc - you name it, they have done it. He is running very scared and we really need more sightings of him. The fishermen are there day and night and they are also looking out for him. Please can everyone who lives this way, please keep sharing his DogLost poster and lets get him back home xx

PS. I have updated the photos - please refresh the page to view them xx
