OVER TO THE BLUE FOR ROXY! She has been caught and is safe at long last. Unsure of details but she is on her way home :)
Welcome back little girl.
Baydogs
But despite all her traffic dodging she seems okay!
Someone managed to take this pic this morning-
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201674867350779&set=p.10201674867350779&type=3
and said she didn't appear to be injured, just petrified.
Hoping for good news later today.

Following FB posts on Dog Theft Awareness County Durham-
SIGHTED :ROXY HAS BEEN SIGHTED ON KINSGLEY ROAD PLAYING FIELD THIRTY MINS AGO.
ANYONE IN AREA PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR SIGHTS BUT DO NOT CHASE.

This is after a dog of her description seen last night near Bolckow Industrial Estate. Her sailor coat has been found too.

If you could knock doors and discover which lady sees Roxy in her garden all the time you could ask her if you could leave a bed in there along with a worn item of your clothing. That might encourage Roxy to settle there for longer -long enough for the lady to see her, phone you, and for you to get there.
Have you got a poster in The Coffee Bean for that lady to take down your number if she is a regular customer? I wonder why, if this lady has seen her on FB and knows she is missing, why she hasn't made a phone call...?Last edited: 2016-06-22 00:00:32 by Baydogs

Little Roxy is still missing. Poor little girl must be so exhausted hungry frightened and confused by now.

Reading FB posts I see this one from 8 hours ago-
Owners comment : "Just had a fone call off me mate and sister who is over their now they went in the coffee bean cafe and a woman has told the ppl in their yesturday that roxy has been going to her garden all the time the street was row-worth street something like that x"
8 hrs

Owner Claire, Roworth Road was where Roxy was first sighted (see early post on here) before she ran down Greenway towards the A171 on the 17th.
So it seems that she is going back there regularly. It might be sensible to concentrate a thorough search with a leaflet drop and loads of posters in that area if not already done?Last edited: 2016-06-21 23:09:13 by Baydogs

10 minutes ago-Xposted-

Claire Wood(owner) She's been spotted around the back off the shops near the houses out the back help ppl we need more help
I think this is called Greenway but a phone call would establish exact location.
Anyone in the area?

Update-
It started raining last evening so there were no further sightings of Roxy as she hates getting wet and probably sheltered somewhere. At keast this kept her from reaching the A171. The police made contact with the owner and have offered help any time if needed. A number of police cars were seen driving around and there were also members of the public helping the owner search. Thanks to all.

The owner is on her way there again today and will be there all day, along with Roxy's brother who may encourage her to come forward. The helpers from yesterday have also kindly offered to help search today. Not many posters around because the owner does not have a printer so if anyone could print some more this would be greatly appreciated.
Baydogs
Owner is nearly at the destination.
Baydogs
Okay,I have notified Cleveland Police on 101 that a dog could end up on this busy road and cause a pile up. They are sending someone there. If you are looking in Owner, they have your mobile number.
Baydogs
ROXY was first seen Rowarth Road, now the Greenway, so she could end up on the A171 if she is chased in that direction which will not be good news.
Baydogs
SIGHTING THIS AFTERNOON- CHARLES SHOPS-OFF THE GREENWAY.
Owner has just phoned me to say that ROXY has been seen. People are trying to catch her but she is running scared.
Please, anyone seeing Roxy DO NOT CHASE. Please drop down, avert your eyes, do not speak to her, and gently throw something tasty. Do not grab at her. The owner is on her way but it will take a while due to the distance involved. If anyone wishing to help could simply keep ROXY under surveillance and notify her owner where to go when she arrives in the area.
Apparently this chase is all over FB (I don't know where-must be private pages I think) so if anyone comes across these posts can they please share the above . Thanks.
I realise that people are trying to help but ROXY is a nervous dog at the best of times. She is now terrified and needs an extremely careful approach.

Owner in area now searching, and has spoken to various people who scanned some CCTV images but no sign of ROXY.
Have suggested getting the local radio station to put out an alert, also the local newspaper if possible.....and loads more posters. Apparently the area is VAST and will therefore need loads of coverage. More volunteers are badly needed if anyone can help....?
Advised owner to drop in here from time to time to update and also check in for any sightings. Last edited: 2016-06-16 15:24:57 by Baydogs

Have emailed Vets4Pets at the Cleveland Retail Park (01642 967145)both to alert them and ask if they would kindly put up a poster.
Ditto Vets4Pets in Marton Road ( 01642 680727).
Will try to work through some others later.

Have updated poster details with more information.

I have just spoken to Roxy's owner on the mobile number above. She is obviously still traumatised and very upset but will be getting a lift over to the area as soon as possible to look for Roxy.

When the accident happened, Roxy went missing wearing a little sailor suit.
About 10pm on Wednesday night there was a possible sighting of her around the doctor's surgery on Teesville (?) and she was no longer wearing the outfit.

She is chipped, but to a previous owner's address. The previous owner is aware of what has happened.

The owner is now aware of this entry for Roxy and will be alerting Dog Theft Awareness to this fact as she is an FB member.

Roxy will be terrified as she does not know the area at all.
Baydogs
Found a contact number and have added this to poster.
The owner is not from the area and now does not have a car to come back and look for Roxy so any help to look for her would be much appreciated.
Baydogs
Jayne, keeping my eye on the post on Dog Theft Awareness, it looks like there may be a second entry coming in for Roxy. They are obviously not aware that I have already entered some details.
Baydogs
Thanks Jayne:) I suspect she'll go back to where she lost mum at some point so if any doglost helpers could be vigilant around that area it would be good.
Unfortunately I don't know if she is wearing a collar and tag with a contact number nor if she has been chipped.

I have no telephone contact number for this dog. If anyone on FB can find one for me I'll add it to the details. I am not an FB member.
Roxy looks like a little Terrier X or Chi X to me.
