  • Other Info Missing from Lime Trees estate, Staplehurst, Kent last seen Tuesday 24th May. Dark coloured male tabby named Max. Very friendly, wearing a collar, has gone walkabout twice before when we have been away & his routine changes & always found in the fields adjoining the estate very scared & disorientated, we haven't been away this time but he's been acting very strange & spooked like for a while, worried he maybe shut in a shed somewhere 😢

Fantastic news. Yes someone was obviously feeding him. this is very common. I do wish people would not feed other peoples cats as the owners must be so worried as to what has happened to their cat. The people who have been feeding him perhaps have gone away, and that uis why he has come back:-) Stay close now Max:-)xxx Also a cat may be on a special diet, and perhaps has an intolerance to some cat food, or/and be on meds which mine isLast edited: 2016-06-16 12:38:11

Thank you so much for your comments and advice Janiejewel. I am actually posting this for a friend who is Max's owner and desperate to find him. I said I would try on here as I think it's a fantastic way of getting to people nationally. She has been out every day looking for him and I'm sure will try anything. She will see your comments and we hope for good news soon.

Is Max neutered? If not this may be why he is acting strange. Looking for a mate. If he is neutered his behaviour may be caused by a "New kid on the block" (Strange cat) Sometimes a cat new to the area will scare a cat out of its own territory. But they will cone back eventually. I would leave a scented of his in tyhe garden such as his blanket.bedding. Plasce in a clen container, along with something with your scent on too. I would also take a walk around the fields holding something with his scent on, and gently call his name, as he will know your voice of course , and rattle some treats. When you say he was disorientated he may have been locked in somewhere at that time. Some one may be feeding him. Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as Doglost. And perhaps put an ad in the paper too.

Ps If a male cat is un-neutered they will go a very long way looking for a mate. If Max is neutered should be around somewhere as will only have a territory of about 4/5 garden spces as to where you live. Paws xd.Last edited: 2016-06-11 08:46:26
