I think that's what is known as a Tickffest! Poor girl. Glad nothing too major otherwise though. Considering the distance she covered and the dangers she could have encountered she come off lightly. Bet you are glad to have some normality in your life too Lisa after all that stress.
billybob
Aww what a lovely update. Bailey and Lisa and family are lucky to have each other. Hope she's on her paws again very soon :)
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thank you for the update Lisa. Glad Bailey is recovering. So many ticks!!
Lisa
Just thought I would give you a little update on how Bailey is doing. She has had over 30 ticks removed now and still finding them. She has had some bad reactions to the tick bites and also has a nasty sore, so she is on antibiotics. Her pads are also very sore and she is limping on her back right leg, so on painkillers. She has got to be rested for a week and hopefully that will sort it's self out. Despite all that she seems fine in herself, just wanting lots of attention which we are more than happy to give ๐Ÿ˜Š

Once again I would like to thank you all. I wish I could thank people personally. I still can not believe the amount of people that gave up there time to look for her. You are all such lovely caring people and have an amazing community. I hope you are all enjoying having normality back in your lives ๐Ÿ˜€ x

A sighting came in up at Burclergh and then another around near there. I think it was, we then found her in the woods. She was howling, so I think she knew we were near. Thankfully she recognised our voices and us and ran straight to my partner. Relieved is an understatement. I just can not thank you all enough, we have been overwhelmed by the response and everybody out searching and updating. We could not have done it without you. We will forever be grateful x

After all Bailey has been through she is remarkably ok. A bit of weight Loss, really thirsty/hungry, smelly and dirty and a few ticks that we know off. Off to the vets in the morning for a check up and to be flead and wormed!!! She has had a bit of a wash and is now wrapped up in a blanket snoring her head off ๐Ÿ˜ƒLast edited: 2016-06-14 00:39:19 by Lisa

I'm not sure when the last sighting of Bailey was and just in case the dog being seen is not Bailey, has found one ID 101167 been ruled out?
Jo
I'm afraid no-one has been able to get close enough to Bailey to be able to put any advice into action yet. Lets hope we can predict where she may be heading next so we can start to lure her. Keep calling in any sightings, apart from being reassured that she's been seen, it helps us so much to plot her route.
Bo
Ah good
Jo
I'm collecting the trap from Vaughan this afternoon..
Bo
Lisa - Jo has the contact number for Vaughan Harman who has a large trap you may use. Vaughan lives in Brighton so not far away from you - he goes away on holiday tomorrow so it needs collecting today if it's of any use.
Your police force may be able to let you use thermal imaging or infra red cameras that are powerful enough to be of any use? I know we have them in the RAF but they wouldn't let me borrow them - I've asked before :(
Jo
I'm mapping all sightings of Bailey. She appears to be triangulating between Bishop's Green, Ecchinswell & Burghclere. I've been told that dogs tend to travel in an anticlockwise direction. Maybe it'll help us start to predict the general direction of her route.Last edited: 2016-06-12 22:56:06 by Jo

Lisa, if you want to watch a drone search that took place in Cornwall yesterday with Mark Thomas follow this link-
https://www.facebook.com/pyromark/videos/vb.594672723/10153619589412724/?type=2&theater
This may give you some idea.
If you can locate someone with a thermal imaging camera that would be even better for finding a dog hiding up under shrub or in woods.
As someone else commented, they do sound like a large angry bee but I suspect an experienced operator would know exactly when to pull out or maybe even "herd" the dog back in the right direction. Try to locate someone who has used their drone for dog searches before.
Lisa
Bo I will do that thank you. Doggie - I didn't think that. Bailey is going to be scared full stop. I will explain that to the guy (still no response from him) and see if he can follow her at a bit of a distance maybe, if seen and will be able to see her reaction to it and go from there. I do not know what camera angles these things have. I'm just praying we get her tomorrow.
doggiedialemma
I think it's a great idea trying a drone, please don't think I meant any different when I said my dogs had been frightened by one. Anything is worth trying to get your girl safe, but someone asked about the noise they make and whether she could get frightened..
Lisa
Please please please can those searching please stop shouting her name, she is not going to respond to that now and will just drive her away. It is just going to frighten her. I so appreciate you all being there and searching, but can we please change tactic now and just be quiet and she may appear. Bailey is a timid nervous dog in normal circumstances, it will be really scaring her and I don't want it to drive her further away Please please pass this on. Also the following please:

So what should you do when you encounter a lost dog or your own lost dog?

Sit down.
Turn your body so your back or side is to the dog.
Keep your eyes averted and bow your head so as to look non-threatening.
Toss tasty treats (hot dogs, chicken, smelly cheese, etc.) behind you or to the side of you.
Don’t talk.
Wait patiently for the dog to approach you. Don’t make any sudden movements, but continue to toss treats.
Don’t grab the dog when they get close, but wait patiently and build trust.
Speak softly, but if they back away, stop talking and just continue to toss treats until they trust you enough to come closer.

Thank you so much

Lisa - Using a drone is a good idea and the noise shouldn't be an issue - I'd ask the operator of the drone to ring Brimpton airfield and advise them where you're operating the drone as its within close proximity to where your dog is running. The person who owns the drone will be aware of rules and regulations but easier to keep people on side at the airfield if they're aware of what's going on.
Lisa
if he can come and help, I can gage the noise level and make an informed decision on it. I was just thinking it was the best way of getting the views and guiding me to her.
doggiedialemma
My two dogs were frightened by a drone being flown on Greenham common last weekend, but I don't know if they're all as loud as this one was. This one sounded a bit like loud bumble bees, but it was very low to the ground. Being the area that Bailey is lost in, you would have to be careful about frightening farm animals too.
It could be a great way to get a birds eye view or be able to maybe follow where people can't get through.Last edited: 2016-06-12 20:20:36 by doggiedialemma
Lisa
Thank you so much Damo76 for your and your colleagues help, I am also a police officer in TVP. (Bailey is my dog) My colleague has put me in touch with a friend who has a drone and may be able to help. I am waiting on confirmation that he can and will update. I don't know how loud drones are and yes it could, but it will give us her direction of travel, with her moving so quickly, it will help to keep a track to get to her and getting Bailey safe. We are desperate and want to try it. I have read a story of a police officer using one to find a lost dog. I just have to try it.
Thank you again to everybody I can not put in to words how grateful we are.Last edited: 2016-06-12 20:13:25 by Lisa

It sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure if a drone might scare her? Thank you Damo. Lisa & Karen will be here tomorrow afternoon as well.
LSCHeadley
Have emailed Popham & Brimpton airfields to ask if they could share the lost dog poster. Have also emailed RAF Odiham to ask the same as they often fly low over the area. They may not do so but I thought it was worth a shot!

We are thinking maybe using a drone might be helpful also if anyone knows anyone with one?!

Hi, I'm one of the Police Officers you saw yesterday and today. Appreciate a lot of you will be back at work tomorrow but I'm pleased to say I'm on day shift again. I will be patrolling the usual spots where Bailey has been seen so will actively keep a look out. I'll keep checking this site for sighting updates and adjust my search accordingly....we'll find her!!!

Lisa, would be a really good idea for you to talk directly to Ray too, before you go out looking for her. She's unlikely to recognise you either sadly. Ray helped the owner of a dog I was helping with recently and his advice of what to do if she saw Louie was invaluable and it worked. Have everything crossed for you x
Bo
I've text you Vaughans number -
Jo
Thank you all so much.. it is such an extensive area.
Bo, I'm waiting to talk to Ray Dedicoat for advice about the possibility of using a trap or other suggestions. If you could text me Vaughan Harman's contact details that would be great, I'll talk to him too. 07484 101835. Bailey's owner's will be back tomorrow.

Such a frustrating area to be missing in. Until you start looking for something you just don't realise how much woodland and extensive farmland there is for a dog to hide in. Myself and Eilleen have been out looking for a lot of today and it was so good to come across so many other people also looking as well as the local police, it seems that people are all doing what they can, but frustratingly we didn't glimpse her at all. It has been quite warm and as she had been seen in two quite opposite directions in a fairly short space of time, she's probably found somewhere to rest up. Sadly I'm working during the day tomorrow, but if she hasn't been found I can give my dogs a walk in the woodland between Ecchinswell and Burghclere on the way home, (or anywhere else in the area that could be of any help depending on sightings). So many people around that way know about her now and are keeping watch that I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she's safely caught.
Norman
You can try the Carpenters Arms which is in Burghclere where Bailey has been seen a number of times and close to the key areas she has been roaming. http://www.carpentersarms-burghclere.co.uk I will see if I can find a few more as well for you to contact
Eilleen
We have been going between Ecchinswell and Burghclere . When we got to Dodds farm a farmer spotted her going back towards the woods at Ecchinswell. We went back and found a footpath just before Hyde Lane( which is on the right) and walked to woods. Been out all afternoon , I'm sure she will respond to your voice, as so many have been trying to find her. Friends in the area have also spread the word and know the situation.
Lisa
We are planning for one of us to stay put in the middle of those places, in the hope she will come across us. Can you give any idea where the best place might be to go please?
Lisa
We will be coming straight from the airport tomorrow and aiming to be there by 2pm. I am praying she will respond to us. Thank you all so much for everything you are doing.Last edited: 2016-06-12 17:14:02 by Lisa
Norman
Went up to Duncroft Farm on Well Street (near Burghclere) soon after the farmer spotted her, but she had gone, there has been at least 10 of us who have been looking all around this area and back down to Ecchinswell this afternoon but no more sightings so far. Based on her past 5 days, she travels around constantly and does not stay in one place, always on the move. Saying that she has kept in a corridor between Ecchinswell, Burghclere and Bishops Green for the last 3 days, so lets hope she follows this pattern as more people are aware of her and looking out for her.
Bo
Vaughan Harman has a suitable trap large enough that you can borrow - he lives in Brighton - he goes away on holiday on Tuesday so it needs to be collected tomorrow - if that's ok please let me know and I can pass on his contact number to the owner to organise collection etc
Deb
TR Headley, we were down there this morning we got stopped by a couple of people who were on horses and said we were on private land, I explained I was looking for a lost dog and they said that was fine and wished us luck, that was at the bottom end of the gravel pit Deb
TR>Headley
Been all through the woods behind headley church, through to woodland (Headley Stud) and gravel pits.

Do we have permission from local landowners to enter/cross fields as there are so many copses that cannot be accessed without permision
Jo
A possible sighting of Bailey, from Chris, Duncroft Fm. He can see what looks like Bailey from his farm (The Green Lane). He's looking at one of his fields off Well St, Burghclere. He says she may be in the field right next to the place where a photograph of her was posted on FB walking down Well St. Near a lone Oak tree. Norman has his number and the details.
Norman
Just covered Chem school again and around Headley they have not seen her in the school so far today, also been down round Bishops Green again and up and down to Ecchinswell and no sightings, I have meet at lest 20 people at various times and place all out looking for her just today , so thank you very much to everybody who has given of their time today and for the last 5 days, its very much appreciated, but please keep looking until she is captured.
Jo
Ray's calling in a couple of hours. Ray runs the Hollytrees Animal Rescue Trust. He'll check this site and be up to speed and hopefully be able to advise.

I've been talking to the dog warden this morning. She came out on Friday to search and met Norman. I've asked if we can have extra help from the dog warden team and if they have any advice regarding traps. I've also spoken to SDK Environmental who are contracted out by West Berkshire Council, but they don't have/use traps. I'm also waiting to hear back from the RSPCA and will contact local vets too.
Jacqui
I’m sorry we’ve not been able to get hold of her before now for you. Looking at the various Facebook posts there are some very dedicated and passionate people looking and I do hope today is the day.
Further to Jenny4’s post with suggestions about food for the feeding stations – I have tripe and other meats in the freezer (not a bad thing it being still frozen if not familiar with the unique smell of good green tripe and it will defrost quick enough). I’m happy to get a couple of packs down to Waits Cottage if of use, and I can leave Norman and Naomi a note with details of how to access my highly secured freezer (not!) so they can come and help themselves to any more they may want day or night whether anyone is in or not.
Lisa
There is really no set thing with Bailey. It's very difficult to answer. I would guess she Probably feel safer with a female. Unless she knows the dog, I'd say smaller than her, not boisterous.
We are now booked on a flight tonight and will be back in the uk tomorrow morning. Though there is no gurantee now that she will stop for us.
Can somebody please look in to getting traps set up? I'm sure the local dog warden will be able to advise on how to get them set up. Can anybody confirm this is being looked in to please?Last edited: 2016-06-12 12:22:48 by Lisa
Jacqui
Can anyone provide any insight into the type of walker Bailey may be happy to see under normal circumstances? One, two more people? Male / female? With or without dogs? For example, my dog would assume any white jack Russell would like to play, and would possibly act like he wanted to rip the throat out of any un-neutered male black / brown lab we come across (embarrassing little rat that he is). Mine loves all people but is always extra happy to see children but has been known to go low if a single male wearing a hat is coming (he’s fine when they get closer – and it is the hat wearing that causes it). Maybe if we can figure out the type of situation she may feel most comfortable in some of us can take a step back and other’s may be able to step up.
Jo
She was spotted 5 minutes ago at the Farm Shop on Long Court Farm, the Eccinswell Rd, between Eccinswell & Bishops Green. She's running.. try to follow Lisa & Jenny's advice if you see her
Deb
Thanks Jo, we are 10mins away and will head there now Deb

She's just been sighted. Starting in Eccinswell at the Royal Oak pub, followed road towards Basingstoke for exactly 1 mile. She's gone towards a farm on the right.. There's a sign selling farm items.. Thank you John

Good Luck for today xx

Norman set food out raw tripe, sardines etc will be more enticing the smellier the better and if you can set up a couple of areas where to feed her ....have they tried walking the other dogs to get her back.trouble is too many people will frighten her , also ask all helpers not to call her name even if they see her as is now in survival mode ......people need to be calm , if they do spot her to drop to the ground , looking away , no eye contact, and just throw bits of food towards her ...... but please nobody lunge at her even if she goes off at least , hopefully she will feel she can maybe trust someoneLast edited: 2016-06-12 08:17:58
Lisa
I think the only way of catching Bailey is to gain her trust. Speak gently/playful voice, get her attention, kneel down. If she's ok through her a biscuit, repeat if necessary, through biscuit a bit nearer etc and do it all slowly slowly, move a bit nearer but not directly towards her until she is happy to be near you and a lead can be put on. If Bailey is not found tomorrow Sunday 12/06 We are contacting the airline to get on the next available flight to come home.
Norman
Yes thank you very much for offering we would love you to search near the following places: Burghclere, Bishops Green and Headly, there will also be allot of people out looking for her tomorrow as well. she was last seen at Bishops green, although she moves round a lot for a lady. I have put here bed from home and some chicken in the woods, to see if she will come and lie there. We will be out tomorrow as well early in the morning. Baily does prefer to move early in the morning, if you can it would be a good idea to print of some posters and hand them to dog walker's or local people.

thank you for your help norman
doggiedialemma
Hi, I'm Emma the dog groomer from Strattons farm. I've been out today and the first thing I did was to check, hoping so much that Bailey had safely been caught, but very sad to see that she hasn't. I'm around all day tomorrow so would be more than happy to help search in any area that you would like me to. I also have friends who would be more than happy to do the same. I don't know if Bailey likes other dogs but I could walk my pups around an area and sometimes then a dog will follow other dogs back to a vehicle or maybe even into a garden, where she could be caught. I have told all the arable farmers (& they have contacts), should they happen to see Bailey while working in the fields which run from Strattons, behind Cheam and round to Ecchinswell, so in the similar areas that she has been seen. I'm could also ask the farm manager contacts for other farmland which might run beyond this if you needed it. Please let me know if I can help in any way tomorrow, I just know how distraught I would be if this were one of my dogs missing, I can't get Bailey off my mind xLast edited: 2016-06-11 21:09:31 by doggiedialemma

I have crossed the Headley Stud land via the footpath to Headley Gravel pit. No sign of her here & I only saw deer near the lane where the horse riders said something spooked their horses. Am at home now but will head down to Alders Brook farm opposite the 4 Kingdoms to see if she has been seen there.

I have shared with Doglost FB group, Public & Twitter. I hope Bailey is safely back at home soon. X
Lisa
We really really appreciate and are so very grateful for everything everybody is doing to find Bailey. .
Jacqui
Lisa, my understanding is that the farm managers are now fully aware of the situation surrounding Bailey. They are kind men and whilst their livestock are certainly more important to them, I do not believe they would do anything unless she was actually back in the fields worrying the cows. I also saw the post you refer to and believe this is referring to the first evening (a matter to be discussed in private between the relevant parties’ insurance companies). The area she is currently being spotted is nowhere near these fields.
Jo
Lisa, If it's the same farmer who's cows were worried, then we are already in touch with him and all the farm hands. They have no intention of hurting her. We are also in touch with Emma, who is a dog groomer on that farm.. she's been very helpful and has joined the search. The local police have also joined the search this morning. There are a lot of people out there today and she's been sighted several times. We're all determined to find her. People are being amazing.
Lisa
Jo. I have received a message from a local that lives near HEADLEY Tyres stating that the local farmer was looking with determination to find Bailey because of the cow situation. I can't get a response at this time to find out if that was today or previously. I am really frightened that he will hurt Bailey if he finds her. Bailey has never chased or hurt Livestock ever and she has been around them all her life. The fields are full of Livestock where we live. She is terrified and is probably more scared of them if anything and is probably running to get away from them or to get them away from her. Of course I appreciate the farmers concern but the worry about that is making me feel ill. Can they be spoken to again please for reassurance that they will not hurt her. I'm just worried sick.
Bailey
Thanks Jacqui.. The local police are coming out to help.. They are heading in that direction. They have Norman's number, Jo
Jacqui
Update in case anyone local to the area is following these comments, but is not following on facebook posts: Recently spotted by family members in a wooded area near to Featherbed Lane in Bishops Green. I’m just off to drive towards the area from kingsclere end in case she is heading that way and I can help turn her back.Last edited: 2016-06-11 11:54:10 by Jacqui

She is back there now. I've tagged friends family who are there on FB and my sister is making her way there, but I don't know how far she is away

Thanks Lisa.. passed on to everyone
Lisa
I have just had a message on Facebook that a golden lab was seen in the fields behind the houses on Bishops Green between 0830 - 0900 this morning.
Jacqui
Further to Lisa’s comments about Bailey responding to high pitch / playful voices, I just wanted to add that when I saw her the first evening I could get her to stop and look at me by screeching “pup pup pup pup pup” in a high, excited voice like you do when you first start training a puppy. She didn’t move again until I moved towards her (and then she widened the gap), but she did stop each time I hollered. Could work again to slow her down and as long as the person who gets her attention doesn’t invade her space could provide an opportunity for someone else to get ahead of her in an attempt to cut her off?

I've been & checked Newtown Common up to Herbert plantation. I then walked Greenham Common from the Thornford Rd to the middle & back. Visited the security office at Greenham Park Industrial Estate & gave them a poster. Also did a drive round the industrial estate. Spoke to other dog walkers at Greenham Common but no sightings. Also drove over to Tot Hill services as they have a McDonalds which might be attractive to a hungry dog.

A feeding station's a good idea. Poster's are out on social media, notice boards, shops, pubs and some footpaths and even more so handed to people we've met and dropped into houses, farms & studs in the area.
Family & friends are already out this morning, any sightings please keep them coming in. Thank you so much.
Gemma
Lisa is on holiday in America and left the dogs with a dog sitter. We wasn't aware of the situation at first but now we are, her family and friends are travelling there as much as possible to look for Bailey. (We live over 60 miles away) your idea is very helpful with pin pointing on a map. Thankyou Last edited: 2016-06-11 08:02:38 by Gemma

Lisa maybe if you get out and about when it is quiet she will recognize you tho there is no guarantee as she has been off for a while...........you need to get a map sorted to jot down all the sightings there is usually some sort of route they follow then set up a feeding station. When spotted next get out quick with a disposable bbq being a typical Lab she will pick up the scent of food
Lisa
Bailey is my dog - She is a creature of habit and I'm thinking that if she has found a food source she will return there again and again. She is very food orientated. Maybe the school due to children dropping food etc. Obviously I don't know the area, but if there are other places she could find food, they may be places to keep checking. Bailey is a nervous dog and will be scared which is why she is not stopping. She will bark at strangers, but she is non aggressive. She responds to high pitched or playful voices as we talk to her like that some times and also crouching down to her level may help. Maybe say where's MARLEY to her (Her brother) as she will know the name straight away and you may get her attention. Thank you all so very much.Last edited: 2016-06-11 03:30:34 by Lisa
Norman
Spotted Friday @ 7:30am Alden Bridge, heading towards The Clere School Burghclere, shot into a field, coming from Greenham Common direction, heading towards Newtown direction. Have been walking round there this evening, but no sightings.
MADGunDogs
Sorry, nothing this end. I didn't see any posters anywhere either, on my route from Newbury, down Galley Lane to Union Lane.
Bailey
Hi MADgundogs.. I don't suppose you've had any more information about Bailey or heard anything at all from your training group?
Gemma
Have there been any more sightings of Bailey today??? Any information appreciated.
Jacqui
She certainly travels for a mature lady!! Probably a daft idea, but if you aren’t successful this evening and as it sounds like she did circle back a bit last night if she was at Cheam this morning, might it be worth trying to put some bedding that smells of her companions near where she was spotted in case she does the same tonight? I don’t really know the layout of the school, but the swimming pool and some sort of pond do-dah are at the south end – she might go there for a drink, or is there a food bin area she might be attracted to as she must be peckish? It might encourage her to stay put for a while?
Norman
Thank you to everyone who has offered help and assistance and tried catching her as well as all the sighting posts, very much appreciated, hopefully it just a matter of time before she is caught. We are blown away by the number of offers for help and assistance. Please keep looking, Thanks again Norman & Naomi
Norman
Just come back from Well St,Burghclere, no sightings so far, but have put up 30 more lost dog posters all around the area. Naomi my wife is currently driving round the area as well, have been up there since 3:00pm to 6:00, so she may be resting out of the hot afternoon, will try later this evening again.
Jo
Really good to meet you this morning Jacqui. We went to Ecchinswell, met an ex RSPCA regional officer, through to Burghclere. Lots more posters out.
She was sighted walking down Well Street, Burghclere at 3.15pm. Norman's gone out.

And the Farmer :(

Good news she's still in the area, hopefully she'll keep away from the roads!
Jacqui
Sorry to see she is still at large, although good news she is still being spotted. i shall do my morning dog walk around the fields between a339 and galley / union lanes in case she is working her way back this way, but do please keep updating with news of any sightings you get reported as i'm able to go and help look most places today. fingers crossed.Last edited: 2016-06-09 07:59:37 by Jacqui

Spotted entering Cheam on South entrance this morning at 05.10.. followed for 30 minutes, but lost her. She ran off within the Cheam grounds.Last edited: 2016-06-09 07:25:55 by Jo

Hope you find her soon just heard that she nearly caused accident with lorry on A339 & it was reported to police. Plus farmer found dead cow today & is having a post mortem as think it died from stress of being chased. Fingers crossed you get her soon.
Jo
at 7.45 a possible spotting on Greenham Common.. just above Thornford Rd and Old Thornford Rd..I will do for FB
Jacqui
good luck. i'm dropping someone off at ashford hill road at 9, so i'll detour down to the ford and have a walk around the thornford road side just in case she comes back this way. do you have facebook? if so it may be worth posting to the "Newbury and Thatcham Berkshire" page. they are very active and have a wide following - they can reach out to the local people for you.
Jo Webber
Maybe take a disposable bbq with you and cook some meat. That might bring her to you?
Jo
Thank you. She's been spotted heading up Crookham Rd, and also running free on Crookham Green/common. Heading there now. Hoping she's hungry.
MADGunDogs
We will be training at Waites Barn tomorrow evening between 6:30 - 9:30pm, so our members will keep an eye out for her, as they come in from the Basingstoke end of Union Lane, the Ashford Hill end & down Galley Lane. Let's hope she is home later tonight though. She must be getting hungry by now.
Jacqui
i had a feeling she was one of your visitors as i didn't recognise her. so sorry i didn't drive down to check with you last night. i wonder if she went up to the top and crossed into cheam - might be worth a call (main office number is 268242) . i'll go out now and try the fields to the rear of paynes close. my daughter has just gone up Fuces Farm and i've asked her to mention Bailey to the Hiscocks - hopefully they can check the copses to the rear of them. i'm not at work tomorrow, so if you are still looking then, leave a message on here and i'll go looking again. best of luck.
Jo
Thanks Jacqui. If you call into Waites Cottage and ask for Norman. The thing is that she's just visiting and doesn't know the area very well.
She was last spotted this morning near Crookham. You are right, she seems to be on a mission.Last edited: 2016-06-08 19:03:24 by Jo
Jo
Yes lots of posters went up this afternoon, covering up to 2/3 mile from Galley Lane. Worried that she may have gone further out now.
Jacqui
i can assist in searching for a bit in about an hour. i'm at Common Road, so is there any area you'd like me to walk in particular? would she know the footpath to the rear of the whitehouse that loops back to galley lane, or is she likely to be in sainsburys' fields to the rear of common road? or anywhere else you could do with a hand searching? just wanted to add, that when i saw her last night, she looked like a lady on a mission rather than disorientated / panicked. don't suppose it's much comfort, but if she's on an adventure she might just turn up back home. also, the farm managers around her seem quite nice fellows - have you managed to get a message to them so they know how to contact you if she is sighted near the livestock again?Last edited: 2016-06-08 18:38:34 by Jacqui
Jo
Thank you. She was snoozing in the garden yesterday evening with her 2 friends one moment and then she was gone.
Unknown
Hope you get her soon please dont chase her if she turns to run just follow at a distance calling the owner if possible .hope you get her home quickly xx
MADGunDogs
Where was she spotted this morning? Hopefully she will triangulate & hang around the same area. Has anyone put up posters?
Hollieberry
I hope you find Bailey soon poor old lass ,how did she go missing ?
Jo
Thanks for all your help & comments. We've been out looking all day. One person spotted her at 8am, but again she took off. If you do by any chance spot her again, but she runs, give us a call/text on 07833 476619 so we can join at that point. The dog warden doesn't have any news yet. I really appreciate your help.
Jacqui
Only just seen this i'm afraid, so probably of no help. i say Bailey last night at 8pm. she was running up galley lane, past paynes close. she didn't want to come to me and ran faster so i lost her round the bend and had to return to my car that i had badly parked. she had been in water by the looks of things, so i will take a stroll down the footpath at the side of waites cottage in a bit in case she is there (i imagine that is were she had been last night). she still had her collar and tag on when i saw her. i'm so sorry i didn't see this earlier and hope she has been picked up by the dog warden so you can be reunited soon.Last edited: 2016-06-08 16:46:59 by Jacqui

Sharing to local dog groups. I'm certain she's the dog we looked for last night.
MADGunDogs
This sounds like the dog from last night. Farmer came into our training barn at Galley Lane saying that a golden coloured dog was chasing his cattle & if he sees it again, he is going to shoot it. One of my members went in the tractor with him to see if she could catch it but it was no-where to be seen. Last edited: 2016-06-08 13:00:53 by MADGunDogs
