What a awful txt message from this girl saying that hansum had been killed and dumped by the gypsy's, Debbie! I'm so sorry to hear about that, Julie Evans. How ppl could be so disgraceful, begrudging and disgusting on earth… Also, why this girl have done this? x
Debbie
Have it on good authority now that yes hansum was definatley 100% sighted at 2:10 pm on saturday 26 july 2014 outside the chinese takeaway shop on mayberry rd Baglan Port Talbot. The whitness Caroline who is the wife of the below mentioned earlier update whitness saw him and when myself Julie and Harry visiyed her home last night, she saw Harry and said no he didnt look like him he was actually taller and had more white on him. This is describing hansum 100%. she even said how brilliant white he was and could see he was a well looked after dog. This puts hansum there on that day, as we feared he was dumped there having being captured and hidden away for 8 weeks prior to this sighting, and supposedly who ever dumped him assumed he would make the short journey back down the hill to Briton Ferry roundabout, and without a doubt be brought home by anyone who recognised him from Briton Ferry as he is more than well known in his community. Also there was a search party which was well advertised that over 12 of us were actually in britton ferry on a search all day for him.
This lady Caroline is an ex owner of beagles and she used to show them in crufts, we saw they're picture she brought out to us last night.

I would also like to point out that after midnight last night julie had received a terrible txt message from a girl saying that hansum had been killed and dumped by the gypsy's, which has absolutley distraught her, no other info given. I am more than certain that this is untrue as like I said below the travelers have been helpful in assisting with the search, they have all stated that they wouldn't even take the reward should they come across him, and even offered to match the value when it was originally at £500.
Debbie
there are two facebook groups for hansum, one is find hansum and the other is local missing hansum search party for any information. debs x
Debbie
an update on hansum. the dog seen in baglan and varified by credential whitneses WAS HANSUM. the one mentioned below from susan was a small male beagle 9 months old named max, he did get out on SAT MORNING for no more than 5 minutes i spoke to allan his owner today, and he wasnt missing then found, but it seems the proper sighting of hansum was dismissed because of this max. first of all hansum was sighted AFTER 12 o clock on mayberry rd baglan, a gentleman from the road above confirmed this,He had previously bred beagles and knows what a cross one looks like also did 2 people who put him there 100% sighted. the colours of these two are totally different and the whitnessess saw a cross beagle larger than the average ginger and white with a swoshy tail. hansum is of this description. then after the max incident the following day i.e.SUNDAY hansum went into a house no.31 and was shooed away as he went into the living room on the setee. the man knew nothing of hansum at the time, it was only when a pcso officer knocked all the doors on the street he found this info out, so he and his collegue did a firedrop to all the houses on the estate.
there were sightings over two days, (max was missing 5 mins)
after searching up there early monday covering the area and up the boarding kennels and mountain behind baglan, also the jersey woods covered by a kind family who joined in, nothing was located.
however it was noted that on the mon night and tues night that a dog was heard barking and howling in the taibach area of port talbot, just up a little along the way from baglan, julie myself and sister went to check and discovered that if hansum is up on a farm he would be shot, having explained to the farmer he's no threat to his stock, he agreed he would collar him and ring immediatley. there have been no reports since of any howling from that area i checked with the guy who was annoyed the previous two nights.
Today i took harry by myself to baglan and we went to these alledged places where hansum had been, and after videoing him and his reactions and showing julie, we agreed he's not behaved like that before. he peed more than 15 times, his tail was up and he forecfully pulled in the areas of the sightings. he also went onto thorney rd and even howled as he pulled me thru all the ruff and ruins. i believe hansum was there and its a matter of where is he now? he could have headed up towards the cwmavon mountains, or towards margam where the sound was coming from. have postered as many areas as one can do and spoke to lots of people in shops and kids out playing who were all on a mission to help find him.
WE NEED A DOG TEAM to help resume the search in the area of baglan just minutes away from britton ferry where he is from. I'm hopeful he will find his way home from there but fearful as he hasn't as yet, and after 8 weeks almost 9 searching everywhere, the only credential sightings were flawed. We must resume and concentrate all efforts on these sightings we've ruled out the other possibilities but not the hansum ones, all be it the howling in margam, could have been him as he barks with 3 barks and a long howl after it. this is what was heard on the port talbot debate site that NO ONE ELSE has picked up on or followed. we even went as far as pyle to poster and call in to the travellers site on route and they too are helping us search for him. whilst its appreciated that help was sent on tuesday to a specific area,it wasnt unnoticed that they didnt like my attitude and just went off because they wanted to cover theyre own area, we needed help in specific locations in pellaue rd margam. The mountains up behind goytre etc.... have been Last edited: 2014-08-01 00:44:52 by Debbie

Pieced together from latest facebook page info (Find Hansum) as owner is becoming ill with worry over this dog and searches have turned up nothing: there is now a number anyone with information can leave an ANONYMOUS message on 0845 8681012 (select option 2). Can also email MissingHansum@lostandfoundanimalswales.co.uk . You can also text a message to 07952397335 . There is a £1000 reward for this dog.
Possible sighting: Day he went missing: possible sighting about half mile away in housing at Hengwrt, on his own, walking.
Possible sighting: June 1st pm Gnoll Park
Possible sighting: 4th June sighting of dog close to Hansum's description limping along Tenant Canal, between Morrisons (where road crosses canal) up towards Aberdulis Falls,.in that region there is another bridge that crosses in to the area of Cadoxton towards the nurseries......this dog seen limping is of specific interest and this area is of interest....a few days prior to him going missing Hansum had hurt his pads and although was ok on Friday walking ...may have still been sore if out alone for a few days ....it is possible to access Tenant Canal via the road by Morrisons that crosses that direction and is reasonably close to the Gnoll Park area
#stoppettheft

Have the Canal Authority people, and the Rivers Authority, and any Weir Management Teams, been alerted? in case they have found something - or have seen him scramble out further down the river. Do Canal boats travel there, that maybe you can pass leaflets too - or talk to, so they can watch out too. Not saying he hasn't been stolen, but on here this year, I have seen several lost dogs, that were recovered from rivers and canals, even when they slipped in, while with their buddies. I am praying for you and your family - I feel your anguish and wish he were home with you so much. In the interim - keep posting and searching - and I will keep sharing your updates here in London. Praying for you and your boy. Come home soon Hansum!

to any one who knows where hansum is, can i ask you please would you get them to give him back. am so upset for julie she's broken into pieces, if you knew what your putting her through you should be ashamed.
what good is he to you, he wont like you he misses his family and all the love he's been used to.
I keep sharing his posters and physically been out on the streets this week handing them out and sticking to council bins everywhere in britton ferry, he's got to be in the area b'coz i know everyone everywhere is looking out for him, but not enough people out in the area he went from.
theres so many places down there that need physically checking & double checking.
I've checked the network rail, I've checked the R.N.L.I. and keep pestering the police and nothing at all, which is good news considering. Please again everyone help get Hansum home poor baby Debs xxxx

Hi Debbie..Julie did make contact with Toby by phone that night ..that dog wasn't Hansum. Julie has put useful updates on her Facebook page in her search for this dog. He was lost on a walk on the mountain above Briton Ferry and a positive sighting was made later of him in a housing area half a mile away..then nothing. He disappeared from that housing area. Julie feels he is possibly in that residential area but being hidden. Desperate for news of him. Reward still offered.

From Rayded when we were looking for Poppy the Sheltie -it worked. a feeding station is vital to keep this little lady in the area!!! if she was seen inthe field adjacent to the track, then it needs a drag trail all around the perimeter and around the perimeter of any other places she was sighted.. especialy gateways and gaps where she,s been seen going through HAPPILY not chased, also drag around the resevoirs but make sure that they ALL lead back to a chosen site for the trap..for a suitable drag trail i use a bucket sized container, with a fitted lid.i boil up greasy breast of lamb, chicken, throw in a couple of tins of butchers tripe mix (tripe mix is best)plenty of water.and i then use a pillow case on a dog lead.. dipping it in to the mixture i walk my perimeters and obviously redipping every 50 yards or so..but a good idea is to drop say a nice spoonfull of the tripe or a bit of chicken, just to get em excited!!! it works.. but remember 4 very important things..1 all trails must lead to an area that you choose, idealy where you can be sat quietly in a car a safe distance from the trap. 2.. if you stumble across the dog you are after say nothing at all ..about turn and run away, taking all pressure off the dog you could let it see you throw something away, as though it was your chip paper or Mc Donalds junk.keep going and still head for your trap site.. 3..the trap site should contain the best of QUALITY food not a few bonio,s or dried complete food, cooked chicken,, liver etc. and very important COVER it using a piece of old carpet or an old sack, this stops the crows and magpies nicking it. the drag trail will last up to 24 hrs..but keep checking the trap station with the good stuff.. and finally 3..i have found that after 48hrs fear takes over the best of dogs and they are to frightened to go to anyone this includes the owner!! and thats scarey..DON,T look at them, speak to them, just have that lump of good food in tissue paper ,so they can see you throw it either towards them or by them .. then retreat!! i have tried to get in touch with Andy but perhaps someone could pass this on to whoever is trying to cach POPPY. another MEGA important thing is to make sure the trap is not only big enough but strong enough to hold what ever sized dog you are after..NEVER EVER leave a trap set unattended!!! you can catch cats other peoples animals,, and if the dog you are after see,s a trapped animal in that cage, trust me they all send out the same message and it will keep well away... i hope some of this will be of use to you good people on DOG LOST UK because thats what you are...that JAYNE LADY from head office has started something QUITE UNIQUE here and whats most important!!! IT FLIPPIN WELL WORKS!!!

I know the owner and saw her post this eve about a sighting in the Gnoll estate in Neath - spent a couple of hours searching for him - met quite a few fiends of the family there too - I came across two PC's and told them and they promised to look for him - gave them my mobile number too, just in case . Asked lost of passers by , walked miles - but sadly no luck . It is a vast area inside that park and we need more helpers please x
