- Scruples Rescue are doing a phenomenal job in spreading the word far and wide but still no word of Blue. He has to be somewhere. I have recommended another complete sweep of the area he went missing in, under every hedge, down every hole, every outbuilding and garden. Also he has stitches, they have already contacted every vet within a 10 mile radius but advised they go further afield to ask if any have had new clients that needed stitches removing.
I will update this page later with some of the things that have been done so far, the list is extensive but we really need to up the ante on the search for Blue. There hard work has to pay off soon.
If anyone in the surrounding areas can help PLEASE do, a poster, a call to your own vet, anything is very much appreciated. - 2012-03-20 13:14 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Also, as there haven't been any sightings make sure one of you visits the kennels that are used by the surrounding area dog wardens. Hyndburn use Aspen Valley Kennels, Oswaldtwistle. Try also the Blackburn with Darwen, Rossendale and Burnley dog wardens, just in case, find out where they take their stray dogs and visit in person at least every 7 days to eliminate the possibility.

- I am too far away to help, but as Mum to a Beddy/Whippet myself, I can only hope this lovely boy finds his way home. One of our customer companies is in the Accrington area, and I have e-mailed them info and asked the staff to keep a look out.

- Thanks rachelhayball. Managed to speak to blue/Louis's foster mum earlier. He was seen yesterday leaving the canal in the direction of the Church area. It is very out of character for him to go sneaking off on a walk. The dog warden has been notified and local kennels. Have recommended a visit to the local dogs home if he is not home over the weekend. Also to start with posters and to contact all vets in the area. Have also sent the scenting information.

- He looks so much like Smokey, 27807, stolen from L40 postcode area January 2011. I think he was 9 years old when taken. Could it be him?
