Slough Dog Lover
Hi. I'm new to this website and am sad to see so many missing dogs. I know how distraught I'd be if something happened to my best friend so my heartfelt sympathies to you. I'm in the Burnham area so not far from you and will keep my eyes open for Beja. I remember seeing Beja's poster up in the carpark of Slough Pets At Home a while back. Have you postered Burnham Beeches at all? Let me know if you'd like me to see if I can get some posters up there for you and local Burnham parks. Don't lose faith. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It's been one year and no news. It's still very sad for me and very difficult to understand why. My Beja is a full grown dog now and I only can hope than who ever has him has loved him as much as I did. Beja MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well, I had another go at articles in the paper and still no reply or takers on the reward. Its so hard to figure out why....someone would want to keep a dog that need medical attention. If only..... Beja's mumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ian - thats a great idea. We have very few cabbies out our way though, at least regular type cabs that patrol the area looking for work. I will see if there are any listed as quartered in the area. I'm sorry you haven't had any luck with Dora. It's so terribly difficult. I"m certain someone must have him, at least I hope, since its so cold now. I want him cared for at the very least. Best of luck over the holidays, Beja's MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry i have not been intouch before, please feel free to call me 07782 159084 -- I have been covering a large area looking for the illusive Dora. A thing i found for getting a large response on sightings was to give all the local taxi firms posters for their cars and offices, there are more taxi drivers around than police and they do call and let you know of a sighting. Your dog like mine is unusual and people do notice, all i can say is keep going, someone somewhere has seen her, the hard bit is getting all the snippets of information together. I will help if i can -- IAN Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jenny G - You're wonderful to keep on thinking of us. I was able to get an article in the Bucks Observer this week. Hopefully something will come from it. Some people have short memories, maybe those that don't have or realy love their pets. Again, many thanks, Beja's MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had a "maybe" call today from Wexham area; better than no call. I'm grateful for any call as I know people are on the lookout. Posted flyers this weekend at Chesham since we determined this was other team that played the fateful evening that my Beja went away. Most thankful to those that are helping. Alfie's Mum - thanks for the offer of assistance, I'd return the favor in a heart beat if someone calls in for Alfie. If someone really has him, I only hope and pray your taking care of him. He's a house dog, never stayed outside more than a few hours at a time. He doesn't understand English commands, so take some time with him. Beja's mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jenny G - the source is very reliable...can't say much more. I will definietely check out Dora's page and contact Ian West. Thanks for much for the reference. We did some posters today, but Watford is so large its hard to figure out where, other than the shopping centers, parks, and the like. Beja's MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Beja's mum - Your request for someone in the Watford area, see 5/8/04 Ibizan Hound. Ian West, ' Dora's' owner knows Watford pretty well as he followed up sightings of a similar dog in Watford. He's from Hemel Hempstead which is virtually next door to Watford and I'm sure that he can give you the names of the local kennesl etc. Is your info source reliable about 'dealings' in that area? Good luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please, anyone from the Watfrod oput there? Have tip that possible dog dealing is happening in the area. Watford not to far from Farnham Common via A413. Anyone know the police/council kennels? Any tip is worth researching at this point. r, Beja's MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I just returned from my business trip but my husband spent 3 hours in the woods by Lower Road, Gerrads Cross yesterday and it wasn't Beja, instead, a black mini-poodle. It was near/across Gerrads Cross Golf Club off a footpath near a residential area. The gentleman that called came out and helped search for abit as well. My husband couldn't get the the poodle to come near him, tried laying treats etc and it ran off into the woods. It was also raining hard. Very disappointing, but at the same time, we know people are on the look out for Beja and that helps. I haven't seen any poster of missing mini-poodles in the area so we hope it went home. No luck today either. Couldn't tell if it was dog or bitch. I was hoping that Beja and this poodle would be together, but no luck. :-( Beja's Mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jenny G - most people do think he's some PoodleX. Its hard to believe no one has seen him in 3+ weeks because he is so different. I've contacted some Labradoodle breeders in hopes he was mistaken for one of their type. NO luck. Its hard and I'm really grateful for your support. Beja's Mum (PWD)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Wow, what a fantastic looking dog! I really hope you locate him soon - he's out there somewhere. I live in Weybridge but travel around Surrey watching my son play rugby. I'll be in Aldershot next Sunday so will put a few posters up there. Thinking of you, and the best of luck - he's such an unusual looking dog (from the above photo someone might think he is a poodle) but the white feet must make him very noticeable! Good luck Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please if anyone is looking for him, please keep on as I really need the support. Its 3+ weeks and I'm finding it hard to keep on. thanks, Beja mum (PWD)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes, Beja is a pedigree, from Portugal. He should not be breed, he has imperfection, body to long but he is my baby. He is clipped in the standard PWD groom, long in front and short on hindlegs. By standard, PWDs come in brown, black and black/white. He is a wavy hair PWD, not a curl coat.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
