- Thanks for taking the time to leave a message for me, it's been a while since I logged on as it gets too painful. It will soon be a year since Harvey was stolen, but I still follow up any leads that I'm offered and will check out your theory, sound very reasonable! I also contacted the police on wednesday 27thApril as I spotted a similar van that was sighted in the street on the day he was taken. It was white ford transit with green oak trees, no business name or contact number on. Reg number N908 XJW. The driver was acting suspiciuosly and I was able to follow the van for a while around the council estate in Newark but I lost him and the police didn't give away anything other than they would send someone out to see what he was up to! - Hi, really sorry to hear about Harvey - he looks lovely. I was looking at your information - names, situations etc, presumably from the clairvoyant. Was doing a few searches on Google to try and link them. Came up with one thing a long shot- you may already have heard of the area, but you never know! Historically, when they were building the London Road in Nottingham they had to go past/through 2 areas - Chainey Pool and Chainey Flash. Chainey Pool is opposite the end of Crous Street apparently. I know Chainey was meant to be a surname, but you never know - thought if the area of Crocus Street/London Road was familiar to you it may mean something??? Keeping my fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Any help you could give would be most appeciated. I have read your sight and found it very touching, I hope that you soon her news about Harvey. He apparently (I haven't heard it yet, but it is repeated throughout the day) talked about dog theft in particular Harvey's case and the doglost site.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi again, what a time you are having. I too have been intouch with a clairvoyant and I am finging it very helpful.Don't expect the names given to be names of a person,it could be place, pub, caravan site etc! I am very intarested to know more about the connection with yorkies?Ask your clairvotant to douse a map,I think thats how you spell it! With Alfie it has been over 4months and I am really desperate and will try anything and yes it is like looking for a needle in a very large haystack. You are getting lots of support and that a good thing,I am pretty much on my own. All the best luck in the world. Justine I will email petotion tonight.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- All trails gone cold at the moment. Would be very grateful if anyone has any ideas. All we have is third party info and psycic suggestion that gypsies aliasing as tree surgeons are responsible. A dark blue car with the drivers door dented, possibly now changed for another coloured door is said to be the car he was taken in. the police will be willing to help if they have a positive sighting but all a bit too circumstantial at the mo! Other information inculded the surname Chainey, 48yr old irish man on a drink drive ban, he has a scar running from wrist to little finger on right hand. His acomplice may have been a skinny 50yr old woman who is on a shoplifting charge. The names Charlie, Tony and Terry were also given, as were the connections to caravans and an area of wasteland pobably cleared for building a garage. There was mention of railway lines being close by and some connection to paintspraying and mechanics. The theif is also said to be connected to yorkshire terriers and is a good pool player. If anyone has any suggestions from any of this i'd be more than happy to follow this up and then pass it to the police. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Had a couple of calls from people who have taken notice of the poster, one was an advert in a neighbouring town's petshop advertising a weim same age and ad went in on the day Harvey was stolen, but after investigation the story turned out to be genuine! What a coincidence that was though! Another lead took us to a village on the outskirts of town and to a lovely family who had actually had their dog for five years and he had an undocked tail. The other lead the police are looking into seems more likely to fit with the gypsy leads we have so far and may have been a positive sighting of the theifs with Harvey on the local park two weeks ago. who knows if it will go anywhere though? Thanks again for everyones help so far and keep up the good work!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Harveys mum - Keep positive, Harvey is out there somewhere! Alfie's owner (lost Yorkshire Terrier on this site dated 19.05.04) has organised a petition - in the hope of stirring up support from the police on what has now become a really widespread problem. Its worth contacting Alfie's owner at; justine.marlowe@tesco.net and having a look at the petition. I've printed it off and have already got masses of signatures. Good Luck!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- with information from this clairvoyant, pieced together with facts Jayne has from previous cases and help from the police and local sightings from neighbours, we seem to have more hope in tracking harvey down. it may in actual fact not lead to anything but it's the best we have so far. Keep up the good work everyone!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have today faxed Jayne a cutting from recent Lincs Echo:- Rex re-united with his owners after 6 YEARS. Quite by chance really, but mainly due to an article in the Echo. Why not get in touch with them? I spoke to a guy named Steve, who was only too willing to do a short artical about Peggy being stolen in our landrover, He even called me back after a few weeks and put in another piece reminding people that she had not been returned It might be worth a try.....good luckLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks sarah, people like you are a lifeline! I keep logging on twice a day if I can and continue to be inspired by the stories on the reunited pages. I just hope that whoever has Harvey now is caring for him and loving him as much as we do, it's the not knowing that hurts. We also lost our 'house' cat a few days before Harvey was stolen. Alfie, the cat, was scared of outdoors and didn't go wandering, so it's a little suspicious that he has suddently gone AWOL too! How unlucky are we!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks for your support. Feeling a bit dispondant after the weekend when I thought we had a chance of getting him back but the trail has gone cold again. It seems like forever ago since he was taken but in reality it is only two weeks tomorrow. Found out from the Kennels that Harvey was one of seven puppies, so that could make it a little more difficult as they'll all look the same size etc.. I hope the owners don't mind getting harrassed by vigilant Harvey spotters! We are so desperate to get him back, I'd be very grateful for any help or information anyone has. Our five year old has taken it very hard, that someone felt they had more right to his puppy than he had!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Nothing been heard of Harvey? Please post LOTS ++ of posters at the Newark and Notts Showground. There are big functions on most weekends there, often Dog Shows. In fact Pearl Crocker, who lives nearby, runs the place I think. She's in charge of dog show lettings, so maybe worth a call to ask permission.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Well what a rollercoaster of emotions today has been! A vigilant postie made a sighting of a puppy weimaraner who had made a recent appearance at a local address on his patch. We contacted the police who were very helpful and sent an officer round immediately to accompany my husband. Sadly for us, the pup was a bitch and had a genuine owner who was shocked but eager to help in the search for Harvey's safe return. She has a poster displayed and our search continues. I was also gutted to note that the Newark Advertiser didn't give any mention of Harvey at all this Friday, not even an advert in the lost and found. There was only mention of an African Grey Parrot! My mum has sent a letter to them for inclusion in next weeks paper, appealing to the thief's concience (if they have one!) watch this space!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
