- I have found an advert on gumtree it was shared once from a ‘Karen’ at £3000 but then taken down. It was then posted again by ‘Elena’ for £3000. It is difficult to see size of front legs in the photos but he really does look similar to this dog. I have a screenshot of the number

There have been many offers in BUSTER's group, but they don't seem to be accepting donations at this time. One comment stated "We have not raised money, we just have pledges in case we need funds"

- solly’s mum I think that’s a very good point, as the first impression with the description given on the poster is that Buster might be bigger than he actually is when thinking of a Labrador cross, but yes he’s only corgi size so I think that’s definitely something people need to be aware of & maybe admin could add this?
- 2021-01-13 17:14 solly's mum
- I have noticed that Buster is described as a Labrador cross on the poster and yet described as a 'a corgi sized Romanian Rescue dog' by Kinsally here on 31/12/20.
I wonder if it might be helpful to add the description of his size to the poster as 'Labrador cross' would lead me to imagine him as much bigger? - 2021-01-12 23:06 Kinsally
- Folly I am the same, as dear Buster has been in my mind continuously since he was stolen & in such an awful way. I worry so much about what’s happened to this poor boy & I also worry how his poor owner is coping without him. With this latest lockdown Buster would of been such company for his elderly owner & it’s just heartbreaking what’s happened with him being taken from her.
Busters Facebook group has nearly five thousand members & so many wonderful kind & caring people are trying so hard to get Buster home & spreading the word on social media far & wide & also on Twitter there are many tweets for him every day being shared & more & more people are now aware of him.
Buster a little Romanian rescue has touched the hearts of so many people who just want to see him back home safe & sound.
The investigation into this awful theft from an elderly lady continues & I hope & I pray that he will be found & returned back to his owner where he so rightly belongs π - 2021-01-12 12:45 Folly
- Also willing to contribute to the reward if he is returned unharmed. I'm sure I am not alone.
- 2021-01-12 12:41 Folly
- I awake in the night and can't get back to sleep thinking of this poor dog and his owner. Please can you let us know what is being done and any developments.

- Any more leads on this? With all the publicity, one would hope someone must know something.
- 2020-12-31 15:37 NickyB
- £3000 REWARD - this is wonderful - do so hope this darling dog is home soon.
heartbroken owner must be going thro hell. can doglost get this in the newspapers and on tv if not already done so?
- 2020-12-31 14:21 Dachs4ever
- Maybe the reward needs to be shown on here and might be worth more national publicity. I do so hope he and Ted are found.
- 2020-12-31 14:03 Nina
- Thanks Kinsally for updating.
I wonder how much are the snatchers getting paid for stealing dogs and where are they taking them and for what purpose, I dread to think. Where ever the dogs are being kept must create a hell of a din and also a movement of vehicles coming and going it can not surely go unnoticed. Shame on anyone buying a dog from unreliable sources without papers or knowing the genuine history of the dog. It makes me wonder if now OAPs will have to go out armed with some kind of defence something like a walking stick just in case they are put in a risky situationLast edited: 2020-12-31 14:24:19 by Nina - 2020-12-31 12:44 Kinsally
- This is a bit more information about dear Buster, i keep checking for any news night & day & have felt so very sad that he’s still missing.
Nina yes I agree there are so many questions about why Buster was targeted & his poor poor owner the effect this is having on her. And yes missing Ted that is another dreadful case of dog theft & a poor oap attacked again for their beloved companion.
All these missing & stolen pets are heartbreaking I just hope & pray that 2021 will bring them all home back to where they all rightly belong.
Buster is a corgi sized Romanian Rescue dog. He endured the hell of a shelter in Romania before being saved by his rescue. He was brought to the UK in March 2018 where he went to foster, sadly, he had to be moved from this foster and two days later he went to his second foster in the UK where he stayed for a number of months.
In July 2018, he was then taken to his forever home, in Woodford Green. It is here that his owner and Buster have lived happily, and safely.
It was there, on 13th December 2020 that his owner was physically assaulted by 5 people and Buster was physically removed from his owner and stolen.
Thank you to everyone who has provided information, this is all being gathered and passed to the police who his rescue are liasing with. If you have any information on Buster or are complicit in his theft, you have time to come forward and bring Buster home safe.
We won’t stop Buster, we are coming for you.Last edited: 2020-12-31 12:54:00 by Kinsally - 2020-12-31 08:56 Missingpetsgb

- Nina: I live in the same area/next borough. Definitely not a bet or dare - simply greed (possibly a very organised business). A similar car has been seen kerbcrawling past other dogs in two other areas within a few miles of where Buster was taken and a woman from the car in one of those incidents was trying to unclip a small dog's lead (whilst making fuss of dog) and pick it up but was foiled. We have also had two men from a car with different description make an attempt to take someone else's dog that they were walking on lead about a mile and a half from Buster's home but owner picked up his little dog and ran away from them. All these seem to take place in the evening. Locally, people are talking about walking their dogs in company or with at least one other person accompanying him and many have bought personal alarms in case it happens to them. And, yes, they do watch owners and their dogs sometimes a day or more before making their approach. The other owners, as far as I am aware, were not elderly so we ALL have to be vigilant when out with our dogs. I am considering attaching a harness to my dog as well as collar and using two leads to make it more difficult for would-be thieves in the times that I walk her on the pavements. Sadly, it is not just our area that this is happening in- a dog (Ted - on DogLost too) was snatched (with violence to owner) from a park on the other side of London.

- So many questions Kinsally that I to would love to know....WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY, WHEN AND HOW
WHO.. are these people who snatched Buster. Who did they take him to. Who is the Mr BIG who is giving the orders out.
WHAT.. was the reason he was taken, a bet. a dare, greed or some other sinister reason
WHY... did they choose an old person, was it easy pickings,I bet they would not have done it to a younger aged person. Why have the media not shown more interest in this story, was it because its just a member of the public and not a big star.
WHEN.. did they decide on Busters owner to be the target have they been watching her, is no elderly person safe to walk their dog these days.
HOW... dig they cover their tracks and take him somewhere. somebody knows the story of where he went or is. How are so many dogs taken and kept for whatever reason and nobody is suspicious
WHERE...do we go from here, we need help from dog lovers, the public, the press, TV and anyone reading this
And not wishing to hijack Busters page not to forget TED ID 162951 stolen by force by attackers of an OAP a few days later in SW20Last edited: 2020-12-28 14:56:48 by Nina - 2020-12-28 12:34 Kinsally
- Still no news on this poor boy despite so much that’s on social media, so many people are trying so very hard to get dear Buster home & it’s heartbreaking to think what’s happened to him & why he was taken. I keep thinking did they think that Buster was a puppy? He’s a Labrador cross & small so was he targeted to sell as a puppy? I don’t know I might be wrong but it’s something that’s on my mind & I wanted to mention this.
I have checked for any news on Buster continuously night & day & praying for his safe return. I just hope wherever he is he is being cared for & that his poor owner is ok & keeping strong. Please let her know we are all trying so very hard to get her beloved Buster back to her xx - 2020-12-27 13:56 Kinsally

- Message to Team Buster (I don't do FB so can't contact them that way). There is a post on Woodford woofers and shared to WF4Dogs from someone who was walking their dog in Waltham Road, Woodford yesterday and they saw a similar (light blue estate) car to the one that took Buster, with 2 men inside slowing down, stopping slightly and very interested in their dog - then turned round and came back again for another look. Maybe someone could leaflet/call on doors in Waltham Road to see if any householders have CCTV of that car.

- NickyB you’re right we so need this to be on TV news it’s getting really concerning now for the impact that this theft has had on this elderly ladies health. This hasn’t been a good year for so many & the elderly who maybe alone & have no one else but their beloved companions are what at many times keeps them going. This lady has been apart from her beloved Buster for over a week now & I cannot imagine the sheer despair she is going though & how this is going to effect her. Christmas is only round the corner & what this poor lady has been through it breaks my heart to think how she is going to feel not having her beloved Buster there her only companion with her.
She is not coping well without him.
Buster was attached to his owner by a secure lead & was separated from her by five perpetrators that’s five to take her beloved dog away....from her a pensioner.
When asked by the NHS if she felt suicidal Busters owner replied ‘yes’ when asked if she needed an Ambulance she replied ‘I don’t need an ambulance, I just need Buster back’
Her well-being is at stake here & the consequences of this theft could have unthinkable consequences on her.
Please please let’s get Buster home xx

Buster is a corgi sized rescue dog who was snatched from his owner in WOODFORD GREEN, ESSEX, IG8 on Sunday 13th December 2020 between 8.30pm and 9.00pm
π₯It is VITAL that any information is not put into comments, on shares but directed straight to any of the numbers or email address above.
“If anyone lives in or near the area in Horn Lane where this dog snatch happened in Woodford Green, word of mouth might also be an important tool. There are a lot of small dog owners in that area and many who regularly use the Fairlawn Drive/Cavendish Avenue dog park. It's entirely possible someone else has been the victim of an attempted dog snatch and not thought to report it, or noticed something they thought was odd but didn't think to tell anyone about. Those are the people that need to get in touch. If the suspects have been watching local dog owners for a while then there could be vital information within the community. If you get a leaflet in the coming days please talk to your neighbours and ask questions. Has anyone parked over their drive recently that they thought was odd & might have jotted down their registration number? Did they see a group of people driving around the streets recently kerb crawling who looked a bit suspicious? The smallest detail could be vital. Nobody wants to live in a community where an old woman can be robbed outside a number of houses and nobody even notices & I do not believe that's the community this woman lives in either. There are people with potentially important information who need to come forward, so please call when the leaflets start arriving.”
Thank you - 2020-12-17 19:15 claire
- Are there no lead at all? It's so heartbreaking.

- Absolutely sickened by the cruel theft of Buster. Try to collect CCTV from days before Buster was taken if owner had a routine. This sounds targeted and the scum must be local or know local people. Happy to help trawl through CCTV in real time. Also check for CCTV on the routes the car took. Expect these vile people are lying low waiting to cash in on a reward for 'finding' him. Keep the faith. Good triumphs evil every time xx

- Kinsally. Thanks for the info; as I like others don`t do social media. Hopefully Buster will be back with his owner very soon. To those so called humans who stole a companion off a defencless elderly lady, remember what goes around comes around. Only cowards would stoop this low. And that is what you all are; a DISGTACE to society. Paws xd that Buster will be home very soon. Last edited: 2020-12-17 06:50:39

- Busters theft has been widely shared on social media. Megan McKenna has posted Busters story on her Instagram page she has over 2.3 million followers. The theft of this poor dog snatched from this elderly lady has really touched the hearts of so many people. He is her sole companion, she lived for Buster. She has even been walking the streets looking for her poor dog which is absolutely heartbreaking. Buster is a rescue & so very much loved.
Nina I believe there are neighbours comforting the owner & leafleting local properties incase not on social media. They are appealing for any dashcam footage, ring doorbell or cctv for the number plate of the car that Buster was put into.
I like so many others want to see this boy back home where he belongs π

- Was thinking in spite of Essex police being informed of this vile theft. (They will be busy with other things) I would also contact Colin Butcher ex police detective in Surrey where he still resides, but now works as a Pet Detective, and has much success in locating LOST and STOLEN dogs whilst in the police force, and as a Pet Detective. Albeit a private company, money donated by helpers goes towards searches for those on low income/pensions etc. He has contacts with other police forces over the UK. He is willing to travel a fair distance, and is also willing to give advice over the phone. His details: email info@thepetdetectives.com Phone 01403 753 463. Maybe worth a try!Last edited: 2020-12-15 14:24:31

- Five people taking a pensioners companion dog away? Aren`t you brave? The word scumbags comes into mind. Buster needs to be made "TOO HOT TO HANDDLE" Let`s get Buster home to his owner; asap if we can. Poster around all surrounding areas: as many as you can; where, and when you can. Lost in shops; post offices too if you can. Was there CCTV in the area at the time of the theft? As suggested try a local tv/radio appeal. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. All xd.

- Kinsally I feel exactly the same. Not sre how you would go about it but does anyone know if local radio and local newspapers haave been informed. Better still would be to get the story featured on television. Is the owner receiving much needed support.Last edited: 2020-12-15 10:59:40 by Nina

- This is so heartbreaking & I cannot stop thinking about poor Buster & his owner who must be absolutely distraught having her beloved companion snatched away from her like this. These thieves will stop at nothing & to snatch a dog from an OAP really is beyond words. I hope & pray Buster can be found safe & sound & returned to his owner & with Christmas round the corner which is a hard time for many pensioners please let’s get this boy home π
Sharing on Twitter please let’s get this boy too hot to handle xx - 2020-12-15 02:39 Nina

- For those who do not use facebook, this is what hapened to this poor woman yesterday ...Our neighbour (OAP) has just reported her beloved dog buster has been stolen while out walking in Horn Lane Woodford Green this evening . A woman and man and 3 youths came up to her and pretended to stroke and make a fuss and then grabbed him and drove off in a light blue estate type car - she is distraught and Buster is her only family and she loves him dearly. She has called the police. Please share and make him too hot to handle & please be careful with your own precious dogs
