Any news from the house-sitters yet as to whether or not they have been to see the dog which might be Harriet? It's very frustrating getting no updates.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there, her mate Bertha was just about knee height to me at the top of her head (I'm only 5'2") and was described as being about 13" tall by the owner. If you have a look at the picture on Bertha's found post, you can see the difference between them, even though they are sitting down.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, does anyone know how big Harriet is? I run the kennels that the dog from the New Forest is at, but suspect she is smaller and not as curly as Harriet.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all, Sorry for the silence but I have been away again. I take the posters with me wherever I go, just in case (although I think Nuneaton was a bit far) so we get a wider audience. I will be back out and about in the area tonight. Thanks for keeping up your vigil Angus. Let's keep at it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just driven back to work - on the A5D sliproad going north from the Tesco distribution warehouse in bletchley is a large pile of dark grey and black hair on the roadside just as the slip road joins the carriage way - I have stopped and checked it is just fur or hair that has been dumped so please don't anyone else stop as it is quite dangerous there, I think it is human hair - it's a bit clean to be dog fur.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Small cross bitch found in Bolton - posted here today (4/9/07) - she is currently at the Leigh Cats & Dogs Home, Manchester. I have faxed them Harriets picture but can someone please get there to have a look just to be sure? This dog only has two more days before her 7 are up - please let's check this one out. The article in the paper was excellent - shame it was so far into the paper but at least it was there. I have spoken to Silverlink this morning to check if there have been any dogs hit on the Bletchley to Bedford line (this line runs directly next to the lake where Bertha was). There have been no instances reported since they all went missing, and it is quite a small line where such incidences would be logged. So good news there. It may well be worth postering Watford again, you never know. I gave posters to the Parks Trust to put up for the Doggie day at Willen over the Bank Holiday and I understand that there were posters out for people to see. Nothing yet, but we won't give up hope. Come on Harriet - let us know where you are, your mates are waiting for you. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just ped a poster into site office of McCann Homes and have also spoken to the site Burger bar people who are just opposite the entrance - they are dispalying a poster also, The very nice chap onn the burger van said that Bertha had been hanging around since Friday last week and that she had originally come out of the building site (probably eating left over sandwiches and pies ! but no one has seen Harriet, they are now aware of the full story of the 4 dogs being stolen and the finding of the other 2 in Berkshire so have offered to keep a good look out and spread the word. Anybody on board at the other end near the rescue centre where the other 2 were handed in? Sandie Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been out again this moring and had a scout of the waste land just as you come into the business park end - would be a good place to hide out - have got some fish paste on board and have smeared some on a tree to see if she is in there she may come out for the smell !!. I have had a reply from Hula Rescue she is not in there, but they will display the information and keep and eye out for her. I am going to try to give a poster to the site office for Mcann BUILDERS who are working on the lakeside. Will take small monster out for a look in the hedgerow later. I drove around Caldecotte last night to check out possible areas to walk and saw all the posters Sandie put up yesterday. They are very prominant so cannot be missed. Will have a look around the Amway building later too - as that is the direction Bertha came from it is very possible that Harriet is there. I drive to and from work calling her and willing her to come out. If anyone else is in the area please, please call, look under bushes around Caldecotte Lake. I saw the F J Morris van this morning, contractors for parks trust, and have rung them to ask if they would keep their eyes open in the area which they have said they will gladly do. That's a few more people on the lookout.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just got in from work, I have postered Caldecotte Arms Public House car parks and all entrances to the parks from its car park and have taken a drive around the area but cannot see any sign of Harriet - there was one path into scrub that I will look at in daylight as there has been animal acivity through it (just before the Amway building) It is very close to the railway line here so will try to contact the rail people just to check (horrid thought I know).I have emailed Hula rescue and will do some more posters tommorrow. They should survive the rain in upsidedown clear pockets. Sandie xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PLEASE check Forest Lodge daily, they will not get in touch with you! They have a bad reputation for not informing owners even if details are on collars! I am so sorry to hear that Harriet is still missing, but as the weather has been so poor I haven't been travelling out that way much. Its about the furthest away from me in Milton Keynes but I promise to drive out there with my two and see what they turn up as they are under-bush hunters at the best of times :) Noni (and Mollee)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Harriet is the one on the left. I was a little confused by colour description too but as it was Bertha on the right who found me yesterday, I know it is definitely the dog on the left! I have posted again on our Company bulletin board and additionally asked all of the company walkers & runners to keep their eyes open when going round the lake. I have checked with the police station and they have no dog reported missing in CMK or Bletchly who fits Bertha's description, so no luck tracking backwards that way yet. They are happy for me to ring daily to check up, but I am away from Thursday night for a week so need someone to take over this role from Friday please.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went out to Gawcott Road Buckingham Tonight, we need more posters in Buckingham area - the search could be quite difficult the fields are all neck high with crops around there, the added difficulty is that Gawcott Road runs North towards the village of Gawcott and then beyond to the Aylesbury plains all arable land in full bloom, worth getting some posters up at the new building site in Gawcott opposite the cottages and then South of the A421 runs into tiny narrow streets leading into the Town of Buckingham under what looks like a rail line (from school days a long time ago I think this may be disused) and then out to the river ouse. Posters could go to the college, Royal Latin School and Buckigham Secondary. There are lots of old sheds and tin building that will need to be searched - we could do with an organised search team if we can muster one. Stay safe babies xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Harriet well. Good luck Harriet x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
