Happy to say that Queenie has been reunited with his owners and is now back home. He was found three weeks after he went missing, in someone's garage about half a mile from home.

I actually posted this at the time he was found but it looks like the gremlins have been at work - the website looked totally different and it seems my comment has gone missing. No worries though, at least Queenie is safe and back where he belongs.

As Queenie is neutered should not be too far away. ~As suggested search all sheds, garages etc in case he has been locked in. Put some tuna in his dish, and keep calling him; nighht or early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his blanket/bedding (Which will have his scent on, and place in a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Wipe his scent on all your garden fences (Inside, and out), and place in a clean container. Or put on washing line if dry weather. Put "Lost" posters through doors, and ask around. Ask people to share too Yes Catchat is a good idea as they have many more tips on how to found your klolst cat. Is there a new "Kid on the block"? (Strange cat) as sometimes the new cat will chase a cat out of its own territory. They do return normally though. Poster in post office , shops too. And perhaps put an ad in your local papoer if you can. Check behind hedges/bushes too in case he is poorly or injured. Not nice I know but have you contacted the HIGHWAYS in case he has been involved in an rta? At ,least if not it will put your mind at rest. Of course someone may be feeding him Holpe Queenie is home soon. Oaws xd.Last edited: 2016-02-24 14:05:54

Tigermouse - could you perhaps try to find a photo of a similar cat so alerts can go out?

This link from catchat has a good checklist of things your neighbour can try to find him, including some ideas of when and how it is best to search - http://www.catchat.org/lost.html

Get lots of posters up and ask neighbours to check sheds and garages thoroughly. If Queenie has a litter tray, try putting some of the contents outside - if he's wandered a little further than he knows, the scent may help him find his way home. If he's recently moved, your neighbour should also check that their chip company has up to date contact details for them.

Hopefully he's not far away and will be home safe very soon. x
