another fab happy ending for doglost. what happens to the dog between lost and found dates -- I imagine someone finds a dog, decides to keep it, doesn't bother to contact dog warden doglost etc, then either dog escapes or finder gets bored and lets it go......? of course we will never know.

Thanks for updating GillyP.

I had a call at lunchtime to say that a lady had been in touch with Natalie, one of Reggie's owners, because she had found a "small terrier" dog as she was travelling from Warwick to Coventry. Her Aunt had seen a poster of Reggie and suggested that she get in touch. She sent a facial shot of the dog over and it looked very much like Reggie and it was agreed that she would return to Warwick, Reggie's owner would take a look at the dog and if it wasn't Reggie would hold the dog and call the Dog Warden. Reggie's owner and I waited (for what seemed like forever!!) for the lady to arrive back in Warwick and I then received the call that I'd been holding my breathe waiting for.....Natalie's voice saying "IT IS REGGIE!!"
Tears and laughter followed (that was just me lol) and then Reggie was off to the vets for a check up. All seems fine and he is now happily settled and waiting for the children to come home. More tears will undoubtably accompany that happy reunion :)

WE HAVE SO MANY THANK YOU'S!!

MASSIVE thanks to absolutely everyone that has helped in the search for Reggie.

REGGIE's RANGERS you have been incredible and your help invaluable. The time and effort that you have put into searching for Reggie deserved this rewarding outcome and I'm thrilled (and more than a little emotional) that Reggie is safely home.

To everyone that has printed or shared a DOGLOST poster, THANK YOU. We couldn't have done this without you. Time and again the posters bring dogs home and Reggie is the perfect example of that.

To the residents of Budbrooke, Warwick, Leamington and surrounding areas, THANK YOU for looking out for REGGIE. We got to the point where everyone we spoke to knew about him and the support we've received has been awesome.

To Thomas Jacks, THANK YOU for providing us with Thermal Imaging Technology to help our search.

To the local Media, including The Courier and The Observer, HUGE THANKS. You helped us reach farther than social media could and we're very grateful.

And of course, to the couple that found REGGIE today, THANK YOU!! You have made his family and fans very, very happy. Bless you.

Now we get to take the posters down 😊
WELCOME HOME REGGIE!!Last edited: 2016-02-23 18:44:28

For those that don't have Facebook. Quote from the page.

Yes it's true, Reggie is home!

He was found in Warwick by a road by a lady who rang up.

He's been checked out and seems in good condition.

Thank you SO much to everyone who cared and shared. You're brilliant. X

Reggie currently has a Thunderclap which runs until Friday 5th February at 12 noon when his appeal will be posted. If you haven't already please support and share his Thunderclap and ask family and friends to do the same. Your's might just be the share that helps him get back home: https://www.thunderclap.it/en/projects/36991-find-reggie-the-lucas-terrier

We had a possible sighting in Priory Park on the 23/01, when a local dog walker reported that her dog had chased a dog matching REGGIE'S description. This was followed by an unconfirmed sighting on the canal towpath near to Sydenham, Leamington at some point over the weekend (person that reported the sighting couldn't remember which day) and a further unconfirmed sighting in St Nick's park, Warwick on Monday 25/01/16 @ approximately 2.30pm. These sightings are all linked by their proximity to the canal and the River Avon which cross each other at Leamington.
We have been very fortunate today and a local company has lent us a thermal imaging camera. We're hoping that this may enable REGGIE'S RANGERS to locate Reggie on their early morning and night time patrols.
Huge thanks to everyone that is helping by scouring found pet groups and local/national Dog Warden pages and pound and rescue groups. we're very grateful for this and to everyone that is sharing REGGIE's poster.
The local press have been extremely helpful and have reported REGGIE's story and an update in this weeks Courier.
Searching will continue over the weekend and we're all on standby for any sightings. Come on Reggie. Come into the warm xxLast edited: 2016-01-30 02:04:38

If you are on Facebook then a good group to join is Find Reggie The Lucas Terrier. Quite a few people went to Priory park on Saturday morning but no joy..shame! I haven't heard any updates since.

Heard there was a sighting today - is there a plan for tomorrow? I can help search.

There is a Reggie search on tonight at 5.30pm from Warwick to Solihull if anyone is interested.

Thank you for your offers of help and I'm sorry not to have got back to you. We are currently following up reports of a dog barking at a canalside pub in Lowsonford and again a night later in the same area and then the following night further down the canal at Lapworth. Searchers have been out talking to local residents and pubs along the canal as far as Warings Green have posters displayed. Heading for Earlswood next in an attempt to stay ahead if it is Reggie.

Bellarockafella is there a plan of action for tomorrow (Sat)? Happy to help search?

If Reggie isn't found by Saturday and we can help with the search in any way then do let me know. We are in Warwick. I hope he's found soon.

Bit far but you never know:
https://www.facebook.com/appycob/posts/1167080129987957?fref=nf

***FOUND*** Black and Tan rough coated terrier type dog, around 1 year old, not neutered. Wandering the main road in Aberaman. He is friendly but nervous. Underweight. Numerous cuts over face and body and nicks in both ears. He's covered in some type of grease / oil. He may well have been stolen and dumped or possibly been worked for badger baiting.
He is safe with me.
Due to his condition then under no circumstances will I release him without photographic evidence that you're the owner. I will notify the dog warden and appropriate authorities in the morning.

Thank you to those that have suggested a match. It will be followed up in the morning. Saturday and Sunday were spent postering and talking to people. We had a possible sighting on Saturday afternoon, in Leamington, that we now consider to be confirmed and a second sighting shortly before midnight on Saturday night that we now think has been ruled out. We will be out again tomorrow doing as much as we can to make sure that everyone knows about Reggie and trying to find him.

UPDATE: We had a possible but unconfirmed sighting today.
A very dirty dog that looked similar to REGGIE was seen crossing Princes Drive from the direction of the recycling centre and heading for Victoria Park. The dog then crossed back towards Edmonscote Athletics track.
We responded but weren't able to find any sign of a stray dog.

It is possible that Reggie travelled up the canal from his new home at Budbrooke and then travelled down a footpath that runs parallel with the River Avon, which comes out next to the Recycling Centre.

The search will continue tomorrow morning and if anyone is free to help it would be very much appreciated.
Jaycey
Shared on FB. .Hope Reggie is found real soon xx
