This is absolutely fantastic news! I wonder if the MOD chap was the one seen putting lead on him earlier and they only managed to get him home the following day or something? This dog was really worrying me and I am over the moon to see him safe and sound back hope with his pals. Hope his little laws heal well and quickly. Bless his little heart. You are most welcome for any help we could give, owner. You can now rest and you can all have a lovely safe Xmas when you get home. God bless. X

Yes max is safe and with owners son and buddies. He was picked up by the Mod in Shoeburyness. He has sore paws and is tired but OK.
Well done and thankyou everyone and to the mod that managed to get a lead on him and lead him to safety

MAX HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!!!! He was picked up this morning byt he Ministry of Defence at Shoeburyness. He is home now, safe and well, although his paws are sore. He is being looked after by Christine's son and has his friend Fudge to cuddle too! Thank you everyone for all your help. Please share this good news! Merry Christmas!!! x

There is another thought. If the dog wardens your way don't work at weekends, Max may have been taken and be kept until Monday when DWs are back. x

Okay, if a dog fitting Max's description was in the middle of the road, and then was lead away by someone, that dog could have been taken. Now if Max would run from strangers, it may not be him, but if he's hungry and worn out, it could have been. So if this description did fit Max I would strongly suggest you report him stolen and you call the local papers to run a story about this "incident" to get people to come forward with information. There are doubtfully many dogs looking like him on the loose in Southend at one time. But, it has not been unheard of for more than one dog similar being seen. It's just that Max has distinctive colourings and unlikely that a dog with an owner, would be standing in the middle of the road. Can we get help to plaster the sighted areas in posters asking for information on a dog seen in middle of road and lead away, please? We need to act fast! Owner, we will do everything we can. Loads of dogs get back from dire circumstances and there is no reason why Max can't too. Hang in there. Can you email me please on kherbie57@sky.com - I need to ask you something. x

i reaaly don't no... someone lead him away ... so they have either stolen max .. or it wasn't him ...
I need to spread the word .. tht the next person who sees max ... they must just sit with him .. bloc all his exits or failing that follow him .. he cant be allowed to run ... words he will recognise are .. "where s hector " whers fudge" ? shall we go and see grace ?.. all his dog friends ... please don't let him slip his collar ... t wll be loose on him ... get a really good hole on him .. and don't let him go ... he wont bite .... when u have him where will he be brought to .. ant let him escape again ..xx

hi .. finally I can get on here ..I am going out of my mind with worry .. I cant get a flight bac . I ve not had any news.. no more sightings .. I ve suggested a big search today with friends with dogs that max no s ... but I don't even no where to suggest they try .. The owner is out of the country with my neighbour and too far away to get back quickly. The sighting is close to where her son lives so this would be a safe garden to guide max back to.

evening me friend been out tonight over east beach drove all around ness road and shoebury along seafront and back into shoebury > the industrial estate has lots ppl working in units over there,But did not see any posters up in the areas we drove and walked around do we know what area from ness road he was heading may give an idea off which route hes taken we could not go into shoebury park as was getting late but we are happy to poster and go out again if posters can be done

Can you get Hector and Grace to wee in a safe area where he was sighted? He will go that way again. Find a safe place in those areas, like a park with some nice bushes to hide in, add a few posters, an article of clothing from owner (old) and a feeding station hidden from view of public but smelly so he finds it. x

Brilliant re sighting. Aidee read my email abot the triangle and set up a secret feeding station, don't put it on here. Email me back or call Admin on the DogLost number for help. It is actually very good that Max won't go to anybody - that is keeping him safe in some ways. Slowly slowly catch a monkey. Have shared max on lots local sites and my pets group and tagged family in area to look out my friend drove about there today sadly not seen anything but gunners park and shoebury park both come off ness road so may headedto these areas unless headed back towards sea front area or east beach. Happy to help poster and search with my friend if needed

hi ya max Is my lovely boy and I m on holiday ... he is scared of everyone but me and a couple of people ... if you go towards him .. he will run and u will losse him again ... its gonna need a careful plan to be able to get hold of him .. as he can run fast ..please be gentle but comforting ... say words to him e.g " where s hector ? over and over again ... that's his friend .. or fudge or grace ... once u have him in sight .. don't let him out of it ...xx

**** We have had a positive sighting of Max at Ness Road, Shoebury at 10am this morning ***** Same colour, collar and size etc. If you are in Shoeburyness area, please can you look out for him. Someone is on there way now to look, but extra helpers will be appreciated! Thank you

Aidie, I will email you loads of stuff to do to find your furbaby in the morning. But first of all, you need to print some posters off from here and get them up all around the area. Then, make sure you have called dog warden and chip company to let them know urgently that he is missing. We need the chip number which will not be on show. When the chip number is given to us, the Halo scanners state immediately your dog is missing and give instructions to check this site also. Once you've done all that, call the council's cleansing people for the roads to see if they have seen him and also call the Highways Agency for your area. Two different places to check. Then, if there is a railway close by, call Network Rail and tell us on here too. Then share to anyone who has Twitter or Facebook. Then you carry on with the posters. You need as many as you can possibly get and you poster all around the area and go at least up to five miles out in all directions. You need public to call you if they see him. You really can find him but you have to work hard. We will help you. Let's find your Max. Xxx
