I'd contact all the vets in the area & send them a poster if you haven't already.
Hope little Pugsy is home very soon x

Thank you for your advice,I really appreciate this as this has never happened to me or my family before. I have emailed my neighbour's with details and a link to here, as unfortunately I was admitted into hospital yesterday afternoon and due operation next week which just isnt helpful at this present time in trying to find him. My parents however will be helping me post the posters on the street and keep looking for him. He was wearing a red collar with a silver bone shaped name tag with my contact details on. He is also micro chipped. I really hope we find him soon I am so worried being that hes still a puppy.

If you haven't done it already, put a flyer through every house nearby where he went missing and ask them to check their gardens and sheds. Some may also have their own CCTV. Put posters up everywhere and anywhere nearby. If lost from your Mum's, he presumably doesn't know the area that well. Leave something smelling of you near her door. Did he have a collar on when he went missing? He may have got stuck or caught on a branch. You need to do a thorough sweep of the area. The van hopefully is a complete red herring. While obviously not impossible, the probability of someone looking to steal a dog just happening to be driving down the road at the same time he got out is low. More likely that he is someone near. Hope you find him soon x

Hi everyone, thank you very much for your support in sharing this post and advice. Hopefully there will some news or sign of him. Unfortunately being that he may have been taken on private road there isn't any cameras. I have asked neighbours but no one has seen anything. I have informed them and the local golf course to keep an eye out . Once again thank you so much! I really appreciate all the help

Message from owner..

Hi there, he was out in my mums garden with her other two dogs and we think when the gardener was coming in and out to get his tools the dogs went out. On calling the dogs back pugsy didn't return we searched the area incase he got lost but after asking a neighbours gardener she said she didn't see the dog but did see an unusual van drive down the road and then quickly u turned and drove off. I'm not sure if he's lost or been stolen but I'm worried he may have been stolen due to the van incident.

Sorry to see that PUGSY PUPPY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (95153)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
