Heard back from the helper i alerted to say he was already aware as been advised by Highways agency in the area that we work closely with. They had done a complete search of area along whole of A13 from Grays this morning and no signs at all of this dog.
They were also joined by a police officer on a motorbike also covering nearby roads and service roads.Nothing sighted.
Now these are all aware there will be a much better chance of a sighting or even catching this dog and as they all have scanners can then check for a chip.
If no chip and caught- can provide a description or photo for matches. They will keep me informed if any more sightings.

Thank you CJ. As far as I'm aware this dog has only been seen once. The person who saw it was driving & there was no hard shoulder so could not stop. He has seen a photo of Megan (82872) fox red Labrador. He commented that the size & colour were similar. Really hope someone nearby can help this poor dog x

I would hope that a photo can be taken to give a much better idea of the breed. It is a very vague description to start to make comparison to any missing dog. short haired cross- med-large dog could be a lurcher type dog so even a distant photo would help to narrow down a match. Colour may be better described from a photo- It would help to see if is is golden - or lighter as in sandie.
I would suggest any sighting take a photo even if far away can be enhanced to give a better idea.
Alerted helpers in this area to watch out-especially one who is extremely competent to ID breeds from a distance and if close knows how to catch or trap them.
