Just back from a 5.5 mile walk around the area. Sorry no sightings but just to let you know people are looking :-) Will share the link at work and to local networks. Em & Lou.

Also do you think offering a reward is a good idea? Does this help?

He was at the bottom of the woods near the hound kennels and parkgate a lot of farms nearby I have been knocking on the farmers doors to see if anyone has seen him but if anyone knows any farmers up in emley could you please ask again for me I don't think they took me very seriously..have also put a load of posters up there tonight

Hi.we walk these woods all the time its just down the road from my house and he has amazing nose you could drop him off anywhere and he would find his way home thats why I'm worried he's either hurt somewhere and unable to get home or someone has opened a car door and he's jumped in

have you been back and left something with a familiar scent (his bedding, dirty cloithing) where you last saw him?

I have added the name of the woods that Buddy was lost in so that local helpers are aware and can hopefully help search

Thankyou Gino and Barney and Ellas mum !
I sent a text to Buddy's owner last night with advice and here is some of the text they sent back to me
Owners text as follows ...,
'Done all those plus local dog walkers vets put posters up been round all the farms in the area asking. He was a rescue dog we got him aged 2 . He went missing on a walk through the woods which isn't unusual but normally he would meet us in the way home or be back before us..He has very gundog tendancies so if something flies he's off after it. He's a very fit dog and His sister is a 2 year old lurcher so you can imagine how much they run together. I'm gutted he is my best friend we go everywhere together he loves cars so would jump.in one but hates being locked in a kennel.and would bark all.day. Very athletic so cant see him being stuck in a ditch etc...please help.mex

Sorry to see that BUDDY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (93289)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
