Really very relieved and pleased to see your lovely Bella back home. She is a very lucky dog. Sadly no dogs can ever be left on their own outside shops these days. There are so many opportunists who think they can make a quick "buck"! Stay very safe and close xx

Excellent news. Ams so pleased for Bella, and her owners. They must be so thrilled to have her back:-)xxx

BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT BRILLIANT. So pleased the lovely Bella has been found. I hope she is ok. Skywalker I have to say I wondered the same thing, so many dogs are being stolen now, especially springers. I just wish the powers that be could come down really hard on the perpetrators.

So sorry beautiful Bella is still missing. Am tweeting her12 days "thunderclap". I cant make link to suspect cctv image work. Would be good to be able to tweet this - no matter if not that clear - someone could recognise the thief.

I really glad Bella is on the 12 days list. I will reshare her and tweet her too as I am too far to do much else except hope she is soon found xx

Hi this is Bella's mum, thank you for all your hard work and continued support with search for Bella. We are all still very proactive in our searching, After Nick Bieber saw my video he has done a article for the Northants Herald and Post this is now live on their website and should be in the paper Thursday. Fingers crossed this will spread the word further and we have Bella home for Christmas. So so many people have been amazing and we can't thank you enough xx

Can't believe this one isn't back yet.....the thief must have been local and opportunist, almost 7k followers on her Facebook page, someone must know something.
Captain
Recent post on Bella's Facebook group:
"We have received a message and we hope we have a strong lead..please anyone in the suffolk area, especially the Ipswich area please share to all groups that you know of and share posters.
We could also do with posters being put up in the area.
We have to follow every lead and we believe this one to be a really strong one."
Could Doglost helpers in this area be emailed asking them to look out for Bella please?

Helen has found the post about the 2 spaniels and it is a very old post that has been recirculated from over a year ago so could not possibly be Bella.
AlisonH
I cannot open that link either but I do recall seeing a post about 2 dogs bought from travellers. Will try to find details for you.

what site are the two dogs on I can get it on what is below. Thanks Kim

doesn't help when you have a van going around kettering and the surrounding area blatantly looking for dogs. This van has been reported before regarding stolen dogs, if you go on rate-driver.co.uk and put number plate YSO2 BKV you will be able to read all about it.
Kim
Dog 93473 has too much black on body than Bella
Kim
Its not bella, she has more black on the body and the spots around the nose are different.

Hi NEWTONvienna, I discussed this option with another lady that volunteers for Doglost in the area. She had spoken to Jenny about the possibility of helping and she attempted to make contact with Jenny but the last I heard she had had no response. It isn't from lack of trying. I believe that Jenny told Phillip that she was very busy so I would imagine that she already has her hands full of lost dogs. I will continue to look for an alternative if it's possible

Hi Bellarockafella... Many of us have been asking if Jenny and Tiga could assist with tracking. Philip has also asked and not got an answer. So frustrating and time is going on. Have been reading the testimonials on Jenny's page and feel sure Tiga could help . Please.. would you mind contacting them to see if you can raise a reply. Many thanks
Anniemart
Someone has found a similar looking dog posted on Facebook page pets for sale around Hinckley Nuneaton and Leicester rugby
Wonderous
Brilliant there is CCTV footage, lets hope Bella is home very soon.

Efforts are continuing in the search for Bella. Sarah did a radio interview with the BBC yesterday and the local newspapers have run online articles and have been asked to try and run the story of Bella's abduction in print. Posters are being distributed and, now that the Police have viewed the CCTV footage Phil has also been allowed to view it. The thief is described as a 6ft tall, white male with blonde/brown hair and dressed in dark trousers and a grey hoody.
Phil has posted a request asking for witnesses to come forward and a possible sighting at a local vets was followed up today and eliminated.
Skywalker99
Bella's Facebook page is all over the place and gives the impression the search is random rather than organised. Facebooks's annoying habit of not putting things in chronological order doesn't help. Says police won't release the cctv because it is not clear....never seen any that is!

I agree, I'm struggling to keep up[ with all the posts and where its all appearing
Skywalker99
Think Bellas owners could do with some advice from experienced dog searchers, they keep putting the reward money up....so whoever has her may hang on to her for longer so they can make more money. There were witnesses to her theft, taken by a man about 6ft tall, wearing a grey hoodie, brown or blonde hair
Lin Iddon
Chappers I agree. You need to actually visit kennels as each description of a dog differs.
Chappers
Kettering and area’s strays go to Forest Lodge. Forest Lodge Kennels - Rescue & Rehoming 01604 862239 PESTER THEM & visit, don't just phone!!
Be proactive now and also contact specific organisations dog breed organisations plus all the usual people who are out and about in the locality everyday like milkmen and postmen (postmen deliver to traveller camps and have been known to put up posters in the sorting office for all their colleagues to keep an eye out too) etc. And most important of all, ring all the dogs homes (Kettering, Corby, Northampton, Wellingborough, Thrapston, Rushden, Oundle, Market Harborough) etc EVERY day. Ditto the Council Dog Wardens for the above towns. They all have a very poor logging system and it's just best to ring them every day to remind them of the crime and where they can find you as and when they turn. Don't rely on them being efficient and logical. It's sounds harsh but they have lots of people vying for their attention so make sure you just keep yourselves in it.
Kim
Does Tesco cctv not show anything??
Captain
Bella now has a Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/600374250103932/ Tweeting using hashtags #FindOurBella #HelpFindStolenBella
Julie Dogs
So sorry to read this. Dogs should never be left outside shops as opportunists are everywhere. Sure you've already done this but put up posters at shop & surrounding area, contact local & national papers, council, police, Gumtree Preloved etc, keep tweeting & make her #toohottohandle.
Chappers
I have my dog "preregistered" on DogLost as I'm sure I wouldn't be able to think straight if she ever went missing. Just a thought DogLost- very few people I speak to know about this service, how about making it really stand out on the page....
Chappers
Still no sightings? :( 456 shares on Facebook at this moment.
Skywalker99
Thx missalice, I hope bella and Rafiki are found soon.
Lin Iddon
Owners, if you haven't already done it then its a great idea to start a facebook group for Bella as well as registering her on Doglost, many many people are on Facebook and that way any sightings and updates will reach them instantly and can be acted upon quickly.
Lin Iddon
I sure will. I have posted on Rafiki's Doglost poster when he first went missing. They are doing a stunning job and may well have done some of this x
Skywalker99
Missalice, any chance you could give this advice to Rafiki's owners. They are new to the UK so have the extra challenge of not known our systems.....
Lin Iddon
Owner can ring chip company to put temporary contact phone number under the circumstances. They have to make this girl too hot to handle. Posters are sooo important. get them everywhere, display them in vehicles, call every vets and email poster. As many shops as possible, pet shops, pubs, local shops. if this guy stole Bella and he was on foot then he could well be local. Every council has a Traveller Liaison Officer who regularly visit traveller sites - ring them and email the doglost poster for them to distribute amongst their team. Make a friend of the dog warden. Never leave home without a pile of posters, hand them out to as many people as you can, dog walkers, school mums, council highway workers, taxi firms - just get her face out there. It took me 9 weeks to find Charlie the Springer, travellers had him! I wish you all the very best and if I can help please let me know. A thunder clap is a brilliant tool on facebook - it will reach so many people that you couldn't possibly do on your own. Also ask Doglost if Bella can appear in the Doglost column in Countryman's Weekly.Last edited: 2015-10-11 16:09:38 by Lin Iddon
