Whilst I read Doglost several times a day I seldom comment. However, I object to the comment from jenny4. As a current and long time dachshund owner I would have taken this pup. I chose my dachshund because my previous dog (a beautiful retired greyhound ) had become too heavy for me to lift into the car. I'm sure most of these offers are genuine by people wanting a dachshund. Also dachshunds are easier to pick up when attacked by untrained dogs! I am, sadly, all too aware of so many dogs needing homes but there was no need for that unpleasant attack jenny4.

well seems he is now reunited.....hope they chip him.it annoys me with all these offers of homes there are loads in rescues if people really are genuine .......

Galtres vets are getting their phone lines clogged with offers of homes. This dog will not be rehomed any time in the near future, and everything will be done through proper channels. So please only call them if he is yours or you know who he belongs to.
