Update from owner - Apollo is still missing
Captain
Apollo is still missing. No sightings of him at all.
Captain
Apollo is still missing. There have been a number of sightings reported to his owner but none have turned out to be Apollo. He seems to have literally disappeared. How can a cat just vanish in a village? Posters have been put up everywhere and flyers delivered to houses. Apollo now has a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Help2FindApollo/446914515471848?fref=ts and is on Twitter: @HelpFindApollo #Help2FindApollo
Captain
Still missing. Contacting everywhere we can think of. Thank you so much for checking on Gumtree etc. Will keep updating x

Presume you have contacted animal shelters, including cat proitection. he is chipped I know but sometimes they can move. They have lost, and found pets on Gumtree, and Pet regist4er which I have been checking. Keepo us posted

Thanks for update Captain. hopefully he will just walk through the door very soon. fingers xd.A friednd lost her cat a few years ago; missing for over a week, and suddenly turned up looking very sheepish. It was out of character for him to go awol. She never did find out whre he had been. Now happily reunited:-)Last edited: 2015-05-01 16:04:04
Captain
Thank you for suggestions and concern Janie. Still missing and owner out again yesterday and last night looking. Neighbours where he used to visit have advised they last saw him Sunday too. He never normally stays out for more than a couple of hours. Leaflets now posted in and around local area, vets notified. Owner contacted council yesterday re possible pick up following RTA and still awaiting promised call back. Have advised owner to check house windows when she is out looking in case someone has taken him in. Just do not understand how animals can literally "disappear" Will keep updating xx

Captain,
. hope you find Apollo soon. It mayu be that someone else is feeding him. a neighbnur of mine "lost" her cat for three weeks, after putting up p;osters he was found only a few doors away being fed by someone else. i kid you not. Now reunited:-) Have you contacted all neaby vets to see if he has been involved in rta? and injured. I know he is chipped though he is chipped. You could try, putting a "Lost" cat in your local paper. i know it isn¬t nice, but have you contacted the Highways so you can rule it out? Also someone may have taken him in (It does happen) as he is such a lovely looking cat. Keep us postedxxLast edited: 2015-05-01 08:59:16
Captain
Also, many thanks for your sharing to other groups, support and advice, very much appreciated.
Captain
Apollo was last seen in the house on Sunday night (26th April 2015) when he went to his bed in the conservatory, but he was not there in the morning. It may be the conservatory door was not closed properly and Apollo got out in the morning without being seen when the other family cat was let out.

My friend has been out searching for him day and night but there have been no sightings. He just seems to have disappeared.
Apollo had been a house cat for the past 11 months following his sister going missing while being looked after when their owner was abroad and then moving from Yorkshire to Nottingham. He only started going outside again on 22nd March and only ever stayed outside for a couple of hours. Apollo's sister is still missing, with no sightings at all, despite a huge campaign to find her. We are still searching for her, but she could be anywhere now. Apollo now being missing as well is just too much for anyone to bear.

He is microchipped and neutered so not likely to be looking for ladies. His used litter trays have been put in the front and back gardens. Owner has been out day and night (middle of the night too) calling him. Has postered the area, informed local RSPCA and vets etc. No one has seen him at all. I'm sharing with groups for her and tweeting as follows:

If not neutered may be looking for the ladies. Put some food in his dish, and call him whilst you tap it. Also put something with his
scent on, and leave in the garden, perhaps a used litter tray of his or his blanket/bedding, along with something with your scent on. Cats rely so much on scent. (I have two) Put "Lost" posters through doors too. Keep us postedx

Sorry to see that APOLLO is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
